They are comparable to everyone else. I didn't have to wait long. They are no different than any of the others. I don't use the dealer that is closer to me, because I'm made at them.

I was actually stranded in Charlottesville VA. My engine light was flashing and my car started to shake. I got off the road, called AAA, which by the way, is still the best money I ever spent and spend... I got a local dealer there, but they were barely responsive, so the AAA operator contacted "Valley Honda" in Staunton for me. WOW!!!! The young man who answered, their service mgr, was so positive and helpful and "hopeful" .. sooo, I will admit I reluctantly had AAA tow my car there.. sorry I've just had such BAD luck with car dealerships.. etc. I also told the service mgr that I had to get back on the road ASAP as I had a meeting to get to. So, as soon as I got out of the tow truck, I was met by a pleasant sales associate and he took me to the service mgr.. who had paper work ready to go and a CAR! Not just any car a new Honda Insight! I asked how much it would cost to use it and he said "Don't worry about it, just fill it up before your bring it back." !!!! REALLY???!!! So bam! I was back on the road.. while I was on the road and at the meeting .. Valley Honda, called my husband to work out the details of what was wrong etc.
OKAY>>> I was done with my meeting, I filled up the car, took it back to the dealership... The mgr, smiled and asked it I had talked to my husband, I said no and he said that it would take a few days to get the parts and fix the car... BUT.. HE introduced me to the mechanic, who showed me the "worn out/torn up" parts.. showed me they ordered the parts.. AND THEN .. I said welI, I need to rent a car to get home.. he said, " keep the car that I was using" I said how much will it be? AND again, he said, " just fill it up when I bring it back." with a smile.. I was tripping over my words and said.. BUT I live all the way in Virginia Beach a 4 hr drive from their dealership and he said that it was okay and no charge.. but to just fill it up when I brought it back!!!
Okay.. so I've NEVER Ever Never!!! been treated so well! (the estimate cost to fix the car was 1200.00) They called me on a Tuesday morning to drove back to get my car. I filled their car, the Honda Insight (by the way .. from VA Beach to Staunton the gas cost was $17.24!!!) and I was prepared to "pay".. then the cost that was told to me was 1100.00 so I thought.. okay... but then I got there.. EVERYONE at the dealership was friendly, just like before, helpful, just like before.. I could go ON. My cost was $950.00ish!!!. AMAZING!!! They will get my business from now on. I will send everyone I know to them. If I could work for free.. I work for them. I owner/mgr on down are some of the TRULY GENUINE NICEST people I've ever met outside of my church. I just want to thank them!!! They are the BEST.

Referred to Valley Honda by a friend, our Honda vehicle became very overheated one day and it felt like something exploded under the hood. They were able to replace the belt that broke at a reasonable fee, we were very glad it was only a minor issue. We enjoyed looking at all of the cars while we waited, and everyone was very friendly.

Last year they and quot;fixedand quot; my rear seatbelt last year in order to pass inspection, but the light never went off. They said the wrong part had come in and they had to and quot;make it work.and quot; This year during inspection they truly fixed the seat belt and the light in addition to new rear brakes, costing $600, a figure I did not feel was that much out of line. A part of the driver's windshield trim had to be replaced which required the part to be simply snapped in, and they quoted a charge of $40 labor for a 5 minute fix. Their billing included a miscellaneous charge, and when I asked what that was, the service manager told me it was for things like rags for the shop. Last week, not even a month after the car was there for inspection, my air conditioner stopped working. They charged me $165, with a coupon for $25 off, to diagnose the problem, and quoted me a charge of $1,100 for a reconditioned compressor. I did not agree to the repair, but still had to pay the diagnosis fee. I love my Honda, but my next car will not be one because I will not deal with the service department of my local Honda dealership again, ever.

Old Honda battery from this dealer lasted 7 years (!!!), so despite prior less-than-ideal experience, I returned for a new battery. The office staff were very courteous and accommodating, and the work was performed promptly. However, they did not even bother to clean the corrosion off of the battery cable (flakes of it were left where they had fallen on top of the new battery), and they left the boot off of the positive terminal, a potential hazard. It did not appear that any anti-corrosion precautions were taken, either. I'm also disappointed that it was not a maintenance-free battery, unlike the previous one, but that could be Honda's decision, not theirs.
