Let me first say that I never write reviews - ever. But for the "deep cleaning" service I received from Lambert, I couldn't imagine other people receiving the same experience, so I decided to take the time to elaborate. Lambert charges $200 for a deep cleaning. They define the work as 3 man hours and have a checklist of services completed with the deep clean. If the checklist has been completed flawlessly, MAYBE this pricetag would be justified. But the work was sloppy with no attention to detail. I scheduled the service when I would be out of the house. My husband works from home and at 10am that Friday, 6 people showed up. I had emailed with specific cleaning instructions so that my husband could keep working while the crew did their job. After 45 minutes, they left saying they had completed the service. I came home an hour later and from the moment I walked in the door I could tell that our house wasn't clean. I could still see dirt on our hardwood floors, the front and back doors hadn't been cleaned, the window sills and gaps between the screens and windows hadn't been vaccumed, the kitchen sink hadn't been cleaned out, the kitchen faucet was still dirty and hadn't even been wiped off, there had been no effort to vaccum under the sofa, our larger pieces of furniture or the corners of our rugs and there were still cobwebs on the light fixtures. The kicker? We have a privacy fence around our HVAC, an area which also has four black trashcans for sorted recycling and one for trash. The crew had simply dumped their bags of trash on top of the closest can (which happened to be our paper recycling) instead of taking a moment to figure out the appropriate vessel. So after being completely disappointed in the service, I then had to take the time to clean up after the crew. Careless and insulting. I felt like I had let people into our home, in which I take great pride, who treated it like a dump. Keep in mind that I had also scheduled this service around my 1 year old taking naps, my husband's work schedule and my freelance consulting. We had had an insanely busy week and were having 30 people over the next day for a cookout and my in-laws were coming to town to stay with us immediately after. When I called that day to point out specific things that had not been cleaned and that I did not feel that they complied with their 100% satisfaction guarantee in the least, I received a lot of excuses about why things may not have been cleaned appropriately. When finally I started to cry out of anger and frustration, the owner's wife, with whom I was speaking, offered to come back down that afternoon to clean herself and "make things right". At this point I needed to be in my kitchen cooking while taking care of my daughter. Having people come back to the house would have been a total inconvenience. Not to mention at this point I was so upset I had no interest in talking to these people in person. In the end, they offered me $50 off my invoice, which means I paid $150 for an insulting cleaning service. This was a splurge for us during a week that we simply did not have the time to clean our house to get ready for company. After paying Lambert $150, I ended up spending four hours (9pm-1am Friday night) cleaning myself. Their regular cleaning services may be sufficient, but do no hire them for a deep clean. Even if you have modest standards, you'll be disappointed.
