RAF Painting and Pressure Washing

We have used RAF Painting and Pressure Washing several times over the years for various painting projects. The work is always professional and top notch. Each and every time, the finished product looks amazing and we could not be happier. Richard and his crew always exceed our expectations and we would not hesitate to use them again.

Mr. Ford's estimate was one of several that I received before choosing a contractor to paint four rooms, celings, and a cathedral foyer and he was definitely the best choice. His price was very reasonable and I liked that we bought the paint so we'd get exactly what we wanted. He was very responsive and professional as was the crew that came with him over the three days it took to do the work. All of them went above and beyond, filling holes, retaping joints in one of the ceilings, adding in an extra bit of painting to make the overall job look better. They are a pleasure to work with and I will definitely hire them again for future work. Member Update: Just a follow-up to my previous review... Mr. Ford called to ask if one particular room needed an extra coat of paint, which it did. He mentioned that it might need one and actually made the call to double-check. I appreciate that I did not have to call him about it and it will be taken care of within the week. His professionalism in making the call is above and beyond what was expected. You will not be disappointed in hiring the man of integrity.

Overall = Great!! We're the 4th or 5th owners of a 30-year house in Stafford that was in desperate need of paint! But after getting high price quotes far out of our budget ($3500 & up!), we felt deflated & considered doing the paint job ourselves. Unfortunately, our 2-story house is on a very steep slope which means we'd be wobbling on very tall ladder 3 stories high unless bought expensive scaffolding or a cherry picker which would probably be more expensive than the equipment! Then as we were seriously re-thinking the painting of our house for another year, as a welcome surprise, our last quote was actually within our budget (under $2K)! After realizing we couldn't beat this price without risking a long fall off a high ladder, we decided to go with RAF Painting, and are we ever glad we did! They were extremely professional, on time, hard-working, courteous, and even removed our gutters so they wouldn't get paint accidentally dripped on them. (Of course, the gutters were put back into place afterwards.) Our only criticism is very minor: when they were finished, they left a little bit of a mess (including some old weathered siding boards that needed to be replaced still laying on the ground), but it only took us about 30 minutes for two of us to do the clean up. The best part was viewing our house from the street and noticing the remarkable improvement in appearance! We were required to buy the paint, but that guaranteed they'd be using the correct color. (The last thing we'd want is a skirmish with our HOA over the wrong color!) Overall, we are very happy and would highly recommend RAF Painting! (Note: We did not use their pressure-washing service.)

Richard and his crew are wonderful. They have painted our entire house! We recently finished our basement and he painted the ceiling, trim and walls. Thank you!!!!

The quality was suburb - they did a great job, in a timely fashion.  Rich was wonderful to work with - a great, honest man.

Mr. Ford was able to schedule service soon after the initial call.  He stopped by the house briefly to look at the size of the house and provide an estimate, and was able to come by the next day to perform the service since he already had other work scheduled in the neighborhood that day.  They got started at 7:00am.  The house looks a lot better now, and better yet, it gets the HOA off my back! Mr. Ford and his assistant were professional, courteous, and friendly.

Two man crew, one of whom is the owner, came on time, painted my condo - 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. Excellent job! Nice to work with - professional. Price noted includes cost of paint. Would definitely work with them again. Richard Ford, owner, great to do business with - on time, professional, went above and beyond to make sure my place looks great.

I was selling my home and the HOA cited us for a 2 ft section on the side of our house connecting to the neighbor, but, all 3 stories.  We could not reach this to do it ourselves and had a window of 2 days to get it done.  I called RAF Pressure washing, he was there the next afternoon and completed the job and did a great job!  
I will definitely use again!

Richard Ford was absolutely outstanding! His price may not have been as low as some but his work, punctuality, cleanliness, and communication was excellent. He came and provided an estimate within a few days. Once agreed upon, he called and set up a schedule. He knew we were in a bit of a time crunch to get the work done before the movers showed up and he worked with us to get the work done on time. He and his associates were always gentlemen and got straight to work and kept the area clean. A first class service provider.

Richard and his crew were hired through an interior designer so I can't accurately comment on the price, but I believe Richard's quotes are reasonable. He was on time everyday, very professional and receptive to any concerns or comments I shared with him. We have lots of windows and extra trim/moldings. We also had one two story wall in the great room that required a grey primer and 3 coats of color. They did a fantastic job in every room and when I asked for a touch up in some spots, it was done the same day. The guys were very neat. My post clean up was very minimal. I was very happy with the job overall and would recommend them to a friend. I am having them power wash the house in September.

RAF painting is owned by Richard Ford. Richard came to our home and gave us an estimate which was the highest of all of the 3 estimates we got. But in fairness I did I ask him to do more work than I did the other two. The inside was $300 higher than the others but even though he knew he would be doing more work that one of the estimates he met that estimate and gave us an additional discount. So, all in all the price was very fair.  My husband and I also felt like Richard would provide the best painting and powerwashing service for our needs. Our back decks and two gazebo's are alot of work plus have 3 arbors. Everything is painted gray and white to match our house color. We just liked Richard himself and felt good about having him in our home.
He did a wonderful job inside and out. Richard was very professional and is a wonderful kind man. HIs two helpers that came with him were also very respectful. Richard did most of the work by hand and by himself. He finished the job in a timely manner and I was very pleased with that. Since I stay at home I had a few converstaions with him and Richard is a very kind, considerate and good Christian man. My husband and I just like him alot. If I had any issues about the work he was doing he was quick to reslove the issue. We also never leave any workers alone at our home but one afternoon we left Richard to close up the garage when he was done and we felt very safe in knowing we could trust him completely with our home.
I do think that maybe we didn't communicate very well in a couple of areas though .When his helpers were doing the spray painting  of the railings outside they failed to cover some of the plants and got white paint on them. Also, I should have taken in my windchimes because they got white paint on them also, and some of the plant holders that were screwed into the gazebos got white paint on them. Another issue  was washing out  paint brushes. I let him use the sink in my downstairs basement bath to wash them out cause I do not have a utility sink. But he did leave flakes of gray paint in it. I can clean it out but I just assumed he would. One of his workers was cleaning out a roller one day and my husband saw him slinging the roller in our side flower beds which got white paint on some of the greenery there.
Would we hire RAF painting again? Absoutley! But, I would provide him another place to wash out paintbrushes, and make sure my plants were covered. I would also remove plant holders from gazebo and bring in my windchimes. I just didn't think that would be an issue. So, maybe that was my fault. But that was my only problem with RAF painting.
I think of the 3 painters/powerwashers that I interviewed RAF painting and powerwashing was the correct choice for our home. And I do want to reccommend Richard highly. It is my opinion that if I had hired one of the other two we would not have gotten the same consideration, and well done job that we did get with RAF.

The entire job (about 1000 sq ft plus celings) took four and a half days. Richard was prompt, polite and professional. There was no mess and minimal clean up. We have him on contract to power wash the house and paint the exterior.
