Quickly responded to initial inquiry on 15 April and scheduled work for 26 April. The work had to be rescheduled from that date because of utilities not being marked in time. Upon contacting Miss Utility, they said it was the contractor's responsibility. Response to phone calls was sporadic at best. I called them the day they were coming to do the work to get an approximate time of their arrival. I called at 9 AM and again at noon and got no response. They showed up at 2 PM. I called the day following the service with questions and still hadn't heard back as of 10 May 13.
As of 3 June 2014, I have never heard back from them. The large tree they planted has died.

Do tell him you have lower bids... he will fight for the job
Do call him consistently to keep him and you on schedule
Don't use the money for something else (if he doesn't collect payment on the day of service). You would hate to run into a situation where a month later you don't have his money when he comes to collect.

I would rate them high in all categories except for promptness. Their promptness was good but not great. It took them a while to get back to me. Their punctuality was fine but their responsiveness was not as great. I will use them again in the future.
