Bean & Mallow Inc

I have paid to have my roof on the back corner of my home on two occassions with this company. It only leaks during a heavy rain so it is difficult to determine if the repair was done correctly until we have a heavy rain. We paid them twice even though we shouldn't have the second time. I justed wanted the leak fixed. I called, again, to have them come out and to fix the leak once again for a third time. To my absolute amazement they wanted to charge me to perform repairs that were never done correctly the first time. The workmanship is substandard and there customer service even worse. I will never use this company again nor refer them to anyone as they clearly are incompetent.

Scheduled and performed quickly and completely. Did the roofing and siding during construction and I have used them to repair damage a couple of times. They are quick to respond and do a good job at a reasonable price. Will use again without hesitation.

They came out and gave us an estimate and then came again to replace the gutter. We weren't at home at the time they replaced the gutter, but they did a professional job.

Had it completely done within 2 days.  Cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and courteous.  Had them replace a front door as well.

It was a wonderful experience. They worked on it once and they did not fix it well and they came and worked in a different way and fixed without charging us. If we have a roof problem, we shall use them again.

I don't remember the approximate cost. It was reasonable, though. Virgil owns the house that I live in, and I knew that they had built these homes, and that the knew about them, so they would do good work. It was good. I had no callbacks.

The service was great and the work was done well. I wasn't burdened by the back and forth of appointment reminders, either. We scheduled they came and did the work. Before I knew it, I had new siding!

We were extremely pleased. There was some concern since the original siding was installed 17 years ago that there may be very noticeable fading. They were able to match it perfectly!
(Note: The also did the original siding on our house prior to us purchasing 17 years ago.)

I was never able to talk to anyone except the receptionist unless I made a specific request to discuss the process from estimate to creating a contract. I left messages for estimator and scheduler to return my call, that did not happen. Getting a date to have the work completed was a vague process, It felt like they did not care if I contracted with them for the work to be done. I finally called to ask for a date. I asked if the crew would speak English and the estimator indicated they would.
Crew leader and crew contracted by Bean and Mallow did not speak much English. The crew did not knock on the door or ring door bell to introduce themselves and know they were at the correct home. The man who delivered the supplies did verify he had the correct house. The crew did seem to know what they were doing, work efficiently and cleaned up as well as possible. They put 2 new bundles of shingles in the dump truck with the trash, they did not speak enough English to tell me that the new bundles would be sorted out and not delivered to the land fill. The lady who answers the phone told me that they sorted the material at their facility.
I was disappointed because I felt Bean and Mallow was reliable. They replaced as well as repaired the roof before and owner indicated that they had installed the original roof when the home was built.

They are honest and professional. They are customer friendly. Their prices are reasonable. They return quality work. I've used them many times.

Excellent work. Cannot say enough good things about this company. We were so pleased with everything they did and how they cleaned up after the work was done. The only way we could tell they had been there was that we had new siding. The work was done promptly and professionally. Other homes in our neighborhood also had siding replaced by other companies at the same time and we thought we got more for our money, Same thing when they did our roof. We were on vacation and when we returned we had a new roof and not one nail in the yard. We were so pleased we have recommended them to friends. Sorry I don't remember how much it cost, but I do remember it was reasonable.

We had some really bad rain and I had a tree come down and part of it had hit the roof and Bean and Mallow Inc/ Bean and Mallow came back out a couple of months ago. I had a leak and he said he found it and then I had rain again and I called him and he came out when it was raining and he fixed it. I haven't had a leak since. He charged for it but it wasn't so bad.We had problems because they had people on their crew who did very good work but did not speak English, and whoever brought our roofing tile out, they had placed part of them on the garage which was a recent addition and I could hear them hammering when they were working. They had taken the roof off the garage and all I could say was put it back and this guy couldn't understand me. I called them and the foreman said that he would make me a deal and if I could get the materials, he would provide me the labor. They were good though.

They were excellent and professional from start to finish. Estimate provided promptly. Once I gave the approval, the job was done the next day. Price was very competitive, and the quality of the installation was excellent. The new siding perfectly matches the existing siding.

!I have used Bean and Mallow several times and referred them to my clients dozens of times over the years - never had a problem. BUT this time I had a leak in my roof - they came out promptly, surveyed the situation but they could not tell me how much the work would costs, saying "it will be our minimum charge" (I ask, they said they didn't know but "it's no big charge") - I ask what they hourly rate was and they said $85/hr - I authorized the work and they were on the roof about 30 mins. Repair was fine, no more leak since. THEN I GOT THE BILL IN THE MAIL! $300. Wow, I stressed out and called and was told that is their minimum charge for showing up in my driveway. I complained but it fell on deaf ears. Bottom line, I won't use them again unless they give me a firm quote in writing - and I'm now hesitant to refer them to my clients out of concern they will be slap happy with them on their fees. While they do good work, their crews are not authorized to talk money and that created this problem. I felt taken advantage of. SO be careful if you use them, when it comes to pricing. Other than that, they have been very reliable and quick, do quality work and clean up after their jobs. I hate to bash them on this one event and honestly, $300 for 30 mins of work seem high - I know lawyers who charge less for an hour. (there were no materials of substance involved.)

Outstandng. They sent an estimator who carefully surveyed my gutter/downspout system - from the roof, not the ground, and provided an estimate which was very reasonable. In a couple of days, their crew came to the house, worked very diligently and professionally, and fixed the problem areas. They left the area in better shape than what it was when they arrived. In the future, I will use this company should I need any services which they perform.

They were really good. They did their job like they said. They were quick. I would use them again in the future.

Requested Bean and Mallow to come out to the property to do an estimate on items that will need repair at my townhouse rental property. I got an estimate about 2 weeks after my request which I called to check on the status of the estimate. They said that they are backlogged and busy and will get to the estimate as soon as they can. This is understandable and I was patient to wait for an estimate. The estimate came back as needing to replace and furnish 9 ft. of fascial board, vinyl cladding, gutter, 10 ft aluminum wall cap, pipe collar and both sides of flashing at the rear of the property. I called and talked with Michelle and promptly paid my 50% deposit. They did not call me when the work would be completed as I live about 45 miles away from my rental property. A few weeks went by and I called them and asked when the work will be performed as i saw the rest of the 50% charged to my credit card. They had told me that the work has already been completed. I went to the property and saw the wall cap had been replaced but the fasical board, viny cladding and gutter were not replaced. Called them again and Matt, the supervisor said he went to the job site and said it was completed. I went back to the rental property and took photos of the hanging and dirty fascial board and gutter and emailed to them and said how is this completed? They apparently worked on my neighbors property and they got new everything, even the downspout was replaced even though Bean and Mallow stated on the contract they will be reusing the existing downspout. After a few more email exchanges, they did say that they worked on the wrong property and apologize. I asked them if the work on the roof was done at the correct property as I cannot see it from ground level, they insisted they replaced the things that were on the roof and at the correct property. I will give them the benefit of doubt for that. All of this took about 3 weeks of going back and forth in emails, myself driving a few times to the rental property and the work was finally completed at the correct property. They do great quality work as I saw on my neighbors house unfortunatly and on mine. Would I use them again? i'm not so sure if I would or not as they do good work and if I do use them again, i'll make sure I have someone be there at the property to ensure the work is done as stated.

For any roofing, siding, or gutter work i just call them. No need to shop around to save 1 or 2 %. You can count on them and there rates are reasonable for the area. They came out gave me an exact estimate gave me what i needed for the home owner association. After i got them approve them came out and put them up. No mess no issues.

We called Bean and Mallow to request a repair estimate for a leak in one of our roof vents. They immediately scheduled an appointment for a (free) estimate. The best part is that we didn't needed to be in the house for the estimate. They showed up as promised and provided a written estimate for the repair. Not only was the estimate 30% cheaper than what other companies were quoting just to come to the house, but they included the repair of the second vent as preventive maintenance. Upon acceptance of the estimate, we scheduled an appointment for the repair. Again, we didn't have to be in the house during the repairs (but we were). They just billed us and that was it. Very impressive with their services and rates.

Excellent. Replaced all damaged and missing shingles. Spotted the damaged siding and repaired at no cost. I called and asked for an estimate and the worker was there the next day, called me at work (at my request) and performed the work at my request. They charged me only the agreed upon base estimate fee and nothing more.
