ASHBY EXCAVATING

1.)Hired to finish excavating job abandoned by AJ Excavating but kept saying that this or that was not included when asked to complete the work and milked us for at least another $6000 more than the original contract of $6500 and still walked away without completing the job.($12,500) 2.)Hired to build wall between garage and living space on lower level and stairway to first floor, did not follow the plans and installed stairway going in the wrong direction, then jury-rigged a correction. ($5,000) 3.)Hired to install electrical panel and make electrical connections to existing wiring in Simplex Manufactured home but, walked away from the job with only 30% working after receiving the first payment. He refused to consult with the Manufacturer, Simplex, so they could help him figure out what he did wrong. The Electrician we hired to troubleshoot his work said he had made numerous novice errors by simply cutting the wires wrong leaving the copper exposed causing everything to short-out and obviously didn't even know how to make some simple electrical connections even though the state of Virginia had issued a "Master" Electrician's License to him. ($4,000) 4.)Paid him additional $3000 just to act as our replacement GC in name only.
