Alex was punctual on returning the estimate and easy to work with on adjustments. His crew is talented. The initial contract had a drain in front of the carport. After Alex talked to his crew, it was determined that a drain was not necessary because the driveway could be graded. After numerous hard rains the slight grade away from the house has performed perfectly. I don't have any water pooling. He saved me money and did excellent work.

They did EXCELLENT work--and at an affordable price! Several other bids seemed really high or involved fast-talking pressure salesmen. Urban Construction is the one to select. The brushed concrete looks and performs beautifully. Thanks Alex!

I am happy to say that our front stoop is finally fixed for good. The team had to deal with a very wet Spring to contend with but when the weather broke they worked quickly with quality and professionalism. We have referred neighbors to Alex and they have been very pleased with his work. We will be contacting Alex very soon for our next project.

It went well.  Alex was very flexible with our schedule.  We had to have some pool work done between him breaking up some concrete and pouring some concrete.

They did it on time. That involved laying a concrete pad and laying the flag stone on that. It took multiple days. They cleaned up after the service and were easy to work with. They were very professional and did the work for the amount quoted.

We followed his advice and had him install the French drain. He and my husband tested it immediately and it was of no value. The water still flowed directly into our outside basement stairwell and not through the French drain.He said we still owed him the total amount for his work. We paid him and he left.

With a serious underground drainage problem I recommend hiring a company that specializes in drainage systems which we did this spring. It turned out to be a bigger problem requiring addressing multiple issues. It was more work and, of course, much more expensive. So far so good with all of the rain.

We found him through seeing other jobs in our neighborhood that he did that we liked. They did a great job. We had flooding issues in our carport and basement. He completely fixed it for us. We would hire him again in a millisecond. He is a real straight shooter. He is honorable and efficient. We liked him and felt comfortable with him. We trust him.

I spent months doing some research in regards to county permits, requirements and finding someone to assists with the design of the new driveway I wanted. After getting the designs and requirements, I called up 5 concrete/masonry contractors that I found on Angie's List. Only 3 were able to come up with a good estimate and had ability to do both concrete work and masonry. His price was in the lower spectrum of what I expected. However, he provided an estimate that allowed for some financial flexibility to achieve a bit more than what I originally planned for. His only request is that the architectural designer I hired be in charge of dealing with the permits and inspections. He and his crew were punctual, professional and outstanding in their work. The project turned out far better than what we expected. Flagstones were beautifully laid out. Word of caution, if you intend to stick to a budget for your project; make sure all the items you intend to use for the project are itemized in contract prior to the start of the job. A slight misunderstanding between Alex and I regarding the bricks used for the project cause a bit of a dent in my budget even though it was verbally mentioned several times in the course of the bidding process that bricks were included in the estimate (it was not.). Alex was very professional and patient and was willing to negotiate and come to a satisfying agreement. Overall, the work was beautiful, the process was uneventful and exciting. To this day we absolutely love our new porch and driveway. We've had numerous compliments from neighbors and strangers walking by.

Alex Flores showed up on schedule to give me an estimate and was very professional and helpful. We discussed the various options and he gave me a rough estimate of the cost. I told him I would need to discuss the project with my wife and would get back to him. He also was to bring some brick samples out later to give us some ideas as to what to choose. We decided to give the project to Urban based on price and the easy going attitude of Alex. During the time between agreeing to do the work and it actually beginning there were a number of occasions where I called Alex but was unable to reach him and he was not very prompt in returning phone calls. This was probably the only part of the entire project that I was not happy with. Regardless of that issue, when they showed up to do the work, it was amazing. They removed the old patio and had the concrete poured the same day. The next day they began laying the brick in the pattern that Alex had recommended and it was finished on the third day. We ended up with an absouletly beautiful walkway and patio. Our neighbors all make comment as to how nice it looks and our neighbor across the street actually had Alex do his right after ours was finished.

Day 1 - Alex's crew arrived on time, with the necessary equipment and man power, and framed/prepped the areas for concrete. Day 2 - Alex and his crew arrived on time and poured concrete. Day 3 - Alex and his crew arrived on time and framed the pathway and front stoop with pavers. He provided samples of pavers and helped with the color/options. We decided to upgrade the pavers on the front steps to bullnose which increased the contract price. This was our choice and there was absolutely no pressure from Alex. Day 4 - Alex and his crew completed installation of all pavers and cleaned up the work site. The same crew was on site every day, Alex was on the site every day, and their work was meticulous. They were all professional and courteous. It was a pleasure doing business with Alex. Upon completion, the work site was clean and there were no suprise or hidden costs. No deposit was required. Payment was made in full upon completion. Total work completed in four days. Highly recommend.
