The company owner, Jose, came in a timely manner and gave a reasonably-priced estimate, explaining exactly what would be done. On the first day, he and a coworker decided to alter their original plan for the kitchen, which was to patch some holes in the kitchen ceiling and walls, and instead add a new ceiling on top of the old one. I was a little put off that they did not tell us of their new plan until they had left, bought a bunch of new drywall, and came back (charging us for the additional supplies, though not the labor). Ultimately, the new ceiling in the kitchen came out looking good, and they added trim molding in the kitchen as well. But unfortunately, some of the molding appears a little crooked and unfinished. They also left a noticeable dent in one corner of the ceiling. The painting in the bedroom was generally well done, as was the repair and painting job in the basement ceiling. But in the kitchen, some of the old paint shows through in several places; it clearly could have used another coat (we pointed it out to them, but they were in a hurry to leave and did a quick little touch-up in one place). Also distressing was the amount of damage and dirt left behind. One worker tore some small holes in the kitchen floor in the process of moving the refrigerator (later repaired, after I pointed it out, by pounding the holes closed). Our wood deck was used as a makeshift workbench to cut molding, leaving several cuts and nicks behind. The workers also left drips of paint and drywall crumbs in places and even dripped some joint compound on the basement floor. Overall, we felt they were fairly sloppy and not entirely professional in informing us of their work, especially as their plans changed. The company's work was reasonably priced, and it is probably competent to hire for small painting jobs, but I would not recommend it for any major wall repairs.

The senior painter/plasterer Jose Russe with a helper did an outstanding job of repairing settlement cracks and painting walls and ceilings in several rooms. Because of some inexpert plaster and drywall repairs over the years, Mr. Russe had to do very difficult restoration in one ceiling. Throughout the job he and his assistant protected furniture and knickknacks from damage and dirt and generally made the entire experience easy for the family. The result? Like new. Smiles all around.

When he finally finished repairing all the holes and cracks in all the plaster throughout my home, the place looked really nice. I was very impressed with his dedication and efficient manner. The price he gave me to do all of this was very competitive and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent painter and preparation contractor.
