Mr. Tucker is a true dedicated professional who has the ability to produce amazing results with an old out-of-tune grand. Although he didn't complain, I would assume that my piano required more time to tune than other pianos which were more lovingly treated by their owners. Mea culpa.

I found Kenny to be professional, honest & punctual. He showed me the areas which needed work prior to his ability to tune the piano. He also showed me where a crack would result in a slight buzz when played. Since this piano is for my granddaughter who is a novice, I considered his recommendations and chose to keep the job simple. We had the tuning pins adjusted on one day, a few weeks later had the piano tuned. I highly recommend Kenny Tucker. His service prices are listed on his website, while he did a good job, it could not be perfect due to our priorities.

Kenneth was on time, maybe even a few minutes early. He was totally professional, and was clearly an expert in his field. It took a couple of hours, but, at the end, I had a piano that sounded more beautiful than it ever had!! I am happy to refer Kenneth Tucker to anyone. He did a wonderful job, and I plan to use him if we ever need piano servicing in the future.

Kenny Tucker answered calls and emails with perfect professionalism, and arrived on time. I am just a beginner player and the piano is a hand-me-down that hadn't been tuned in at least 10 and maybe 20 years. But the action and hammers etc., still in good enough shape to make it worthwhile. Mr. Tucker was very helpful in assisting with this assessment.
He immediately got to work and took a couple hours to bring the piano up to pitch. This ranged from 1/4-tone to an entire 1/2-tone across the instrument. As he explained, when the variance is that great, the actual and quot;tuningand quot; has to be done on a second visit after a few days, so the strings can settle into their new tension. The first step cost $80.
Also during this visit he re-seated the bottom panel, which was loose, and adjusted the damper pedal so that it operated smoothly.
After this first visit the piano was absolutely marvelous to play -- so much better than it had been. Solidly at pitch throughout.
He returned a week later to do the final tuning ($140) and the result is even better. Each note sounds clearer and crisper; I'm pretty sure this is as good as this piano can sound without an overhaul.
Mr Tucker was extremely professional and never gave the slightest sense of condescension that I was a beginner pianist or that this was a poor old instrument. I plan to call him back the next time it needs tuning, or for any other piano repairs. And one day I'll get a finer piano and call him for that, too. Very satisfied.
