THESIS PAINTING

They showed up on time, but then things got dicey. I believed that they were going to sand the cabinets down to the metal before it was primed and painted as it said in the contract. They didn't, just lightly sanded the paint and assured me it would be fine...I hope so. As they were priming and painting, I noticed that they didn't always sand all the places that were being painted. Again not sure if that is a good or bad thing. My biggest complaint was that I had to act as a supervisor and make sure the workers were doing the right thing. The supervisor left not long after they showed up. With better supervision they could have done a better job. On the second day, they were obviously in a hurry to get done and the quality suffered. When the were done, they left the lab a mess. Dirty rags on the floor, dust everywhere, paint on the floor. I wasn't happy. I may have set too high a bar, but it is a laboratory after all, not a bridge when neatness and quality may not be as required. All in all, they could have done a better job, but it's done. We'll see how it lasts....
