About us
Through an integrated 5 step annual program, we strive to build every lawn to sod quality. Incorporating seeding and aeration into our annual program insures even after the worst summer drought we will repair turf back to top quality. Our process includes soil testing through VA Tech’s laboratories. Our customers can rest assured that we are using the safest products and our practices utilize principles of Integrated Pest Management (www.epa.gov/pesticides/factsheets/ipm.htm). This means we will not apply pest controls unless an infestation merits it, and then using only the safest product and soundest method to control the outbreak. Our company is governed by the VA Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (www.vdacs.virginia.gov) for which we are responsible for keeping all up to date applicator certifications, licensing and insurance. Additional DBA - Tbi.

They put you on a plan and pretty much come out as needed. They are a green company. That's what I like about them. They're excellent. I'm very pleased with the work that they've done.
"We appreciate your business and the nice review! Thank you for being a loyal and valued customer."
I called office to arrange and was told that TBI would now not do aeration because it was past November 1st when frost begins to occur. I stated there was no day in which ambient temperature was below 40 deg. Staff said it was company policy. I aerated grounds with my own equipment and called again for seeding service, this time asking for Todd, owner of company. Todd expressed doubt I was told TBI would not aerate in November (I did NOT make this up!), suggested that we part company and he would return advance payment I had made, which he did.
No seeding. No aeration. A well deserved and well earned FAIL!
"We are sorry you feel we were unable to resolve your concerns. We would like to take this opportunity to clear up a few of the discrepancies in your review. In April 2015 you contacted TBI for an estimate. Todd (our General Manager, not the owner) initially visited your property to discuss our services and provide an estimate. At that time, you agreed to the terms of our estimate and provided Todd with a signed contract and cash for your down payment. It was explained at that time that the down payment is applied to the final service of the contract and that you would be invoiced after each service. Payments are due within 30 days upon completion of each service. We were out within a week to do the first service. We did not receive payment for that service until June 15, 2015. We were out the day after receiving that payment to complete your second service. After several months of non-payment we alerted you via mail that you had missed scheduled services and we would be cancelling your service. We did not receive payment for that service until October 16, 2015. When you called to make that payment you expressed concern about the initial cash payment that was made and were assured that we did receive it and it was applied to your account as your down payment. The down payment process was explained again at which time you said you did not understand it initially but now did. It was explained that in order to perform the fall aeration and seeding (which we were coming to the end of) you would need to have it done quickly, and would need to have the leaves off of the lawn prior to us doing the service. You stated that you would be going out of town and would return on October 31, 2015. You were notified by phone that we would be out on November 2nd to perform your fall aeration and seeding. When the technicians arrived at your property, they were unable to complete the service due to leaf coverage. We attempted to come out again November 9th to perform that service. Again, we were unable to do so due to leaf coverage. The voicemail that was left prior to the service on November 9th stated that would be our final attempt to do the aeration and seeding. We do have an end date for these services as typically the weather turns cold and a freeze is possible, rendering any seeding efforts ineffective. We could not have anticipated that the warm temperatures would continue this late into the season. When you had your leaves removed, you called us for service. At that time we scheduled your Winter lawn service and had instructed our technicians to seed your property. That was the only time that they did not have a core aerator on your property as this was not a full aeration service they were providing. You turned our technicians away because they were not completing your fall aeration service. It was at this time that you spoke with Todd and agreed that based on all of the circumstances (lack of timely payments, leaf coverage) it would be best that we no longer continue a professional business relationship. We take great pride in our lawn service and assist our customers with first rate service. However, we cannot be responsible for lack of results or damage due to late or skipped applications. We made every feasible attempt to work with you, and when we could not satisfy we offered to refund the down payment immediately. Again, we are sorry we could not resolve your concerns prior to this point. We wish you the best in the future."
If you see a problem with weeds, bare spots, disease, all you have to do is call them and they check it out and treat it right away.
I highly recommend this company.
