Description of Work: Our dealings were with the business owner John Spinks, a friendly and self proclaimed honest “straight shooter”, yet our experience proved different. The first of numerous issues in our dealings began when we requested S&S licensing and insurance documents several times before work could begin, against the request they began working on the roof. We requested all work stop until those documents were provided and only after this initial issue were the documents provided. We were also promised the job would take no longer than 4-5 working days and this was not the case as they were banging on our roof for just over two weeks, more than 10 working days, claiming they had an employee that could not be reached and were “shorthanded, and could’ve been done in one week”. S&S were also not materially prepared as they used some of our materials to complete their job. They used our plywood boards in the yard, without asking, to replace damaged boards on our roof. These boards were replaced only after we mentioned them. The roof leaked causing interior damages to our ceiling and fireplace and John, the business owner, was contacted several times with many of no answers and when he did finally answer said he was in New York and would be down the same day to repair; astonishingly he never called or showed. I called agin a day later and he told me he was in Alabama with the same story of he will come for the repairs that evening and again no show or call. I attempted once again and his “brother” answered his phone and said he was in the Carolinas but he, the brother would be by that evening for the repairs; and of course no show or call. This severe issue followed the before mentioned and more below. S&S also would not take or return calls and four voicemails for more than a week after “completing” the work about providing us, their customer a receipt. There completion did not include cleaning up after the work as they left a hazardous mess in the driveway full of nails and debris and the driveway covered in mud from them driving their trucks through our yard. There was also shingles and other debris all around the house that we eventually picked up after them as well as a huge mess in the interior of the house where they poorly replaced a hanging ceiling. Highly recommend you do not higher S&S Unlimited Services for their poor work and never ending headache to follow.
