The contractor performed all the task as specified in the contract on-time and it looked good. In 6 months my driveway is significantly pitted and blistering. The contractor said it was due to road salt over the winter. He said he could remove the new driveway and lay another concrete driveway ... but at roughly the same cost as the original. I feel the Contractor has some responsibility for the condition of my driveway and should bear 1/2 the cost of the damages.
I would have be comfortable with him doing the job. However, his estimate was somewhat higher an equally good company, and I decided to go with the other one.
My next door neighbor, who referred me, had their driveway and walk replaced by Portugal a few years ago, and it still looks fine.
