We really loved the results of our bathroom renovation...I really cannot complain at all....Mario was quick and was very good about coordinating his work days and times he would be coming. He is trustworthy and I felt comfortable leaving him keys to the house so he could come in and get things done. He helped us select beautiful tiles and vanity, and also recommended a
very nice back splash that we really love! His prices were very reasonable for all the work they did.

My overall experience with Metropolitan Remodeling was fantastic. I have never done a remodel and have been wanting to redo our master bathroom for years so when the time came to actually get started a friend recommended Metropolitan Remodeling. Mr. Mario Salazar was nice and very professional. He came and gave us and estimate and even helped with some ideas, once we settled on the details he drew up a contract that was professional and very clear. The entire process was pleasant and a lot more fun than i imagined. Mario provided status updates accompanied by pictures and the house was left clean each day. The work completed was impeccable and of the utmost quality. I would highly recommend Metropolitan Remodeling and will be using him on our next project.

Through a friends recommendation I contracted Metropolitan Remodeling to build a deck and stairs (16? by 20?) since I liked the quality of work he did at his home. My first interaction with the contractor was a pleasant one and he came across as very professional. He came to my home and gave me an estimate. Once we agreed on a price he drew up a contract that was clear and specific and laid out all the costs and estimated time of completion. I was very pleased with the finished job and Metropolitan Remodeling has been my go to contractor ever since. In addition to the deck they built I contracted them to install recessed lighting in my living room and kitchen. As with the deck the quality of work was excellent and my wife and I were very pleased. Just recently Metropolitan Remodeling helped me out with an emergency I experienced. One evening during a bad storm the ceiling in my daughter?s room began to leak which was due to problem with my roof. My immediate reaction was to contact Metropolitan Remodeling and to my surprise my call was answered late in the evening. He was very sympathetic to my situation and came over that same night to assess the situation. After speaking with my insurance company they were going to assign a random contractor to fix the problem with my roof. I told the insurance company that I had a preferred contractor, Metropolitan Remodeling, and wanted them to do the work. The contractor worked with my insurance company and within a few days my roof and ceiling were repaired. I highly recommend Metropolitan Remodeling.

It was one of the most miserable experiences I have had and am shocked by the level of fraud. Following my review, Mr. Salazar has since removed the hundreds and hundreds of photographs of other top level designer's show room work and limited his "Gallery" to 10 photographs; hopefully, that is a reflection of his true work. (Fortunately I have the screen shots and pages printed out in hardy copy showing his deceit, if ever there should be a question.). Still, I sincerely doubt that the work/model on his home page title bar is his own, however. 5 Stars for the effectiveness of Angie's List.
I had several new contractors come out to inspect Mr. Salzar's work and that of his team. Each and every one of them had the same comments. This job would cause water damage to the home as a result of the wrong screws used in the dry wall, large gaps left between dry wall slabs, no tape used and the liner was installed incorrectly and not enough liner was used. When they demo-ed his shower pan to start all over again, they found that the new drain mechanism was also improperly installed and a large gap was left between the floor board and the drain causing the leak into the ceiling when tested.

"I would like to tell my side of the story, the member saw my company finish a basement in her neighborhood and asked me to give her and estimate on her bathroom so we did, when we got to her home she added three more item to the list so I told her that I was going to put it on paper with the extra work that she had asked for and so I gave her my contract with a square drain receipt that she wanted which I paid for, at the time we started working on her shower doing demo, framed a niche, removed the old plastic shower pan and replaced it with shower liner, new square drain and poured concrete sloped to the center of the drain not to mention that we paid for 5 sheets of durock boards, shower liner and concrete, When our day was over we cleaned up and I went down stairs to ask her for a check at that time she replied and I quote, "I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOU" with a rude tone so I said, We gave you our whole day and you don't have time to sign my contract and give me a deposit? Again she replied "I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOU" At the time we figure to just cut our losses and move away from her so I took my contract and told her that she can have it and left her home. About her shower door, We don't recycle 5 year old builder shower door because they are cut to size and wall measurements will change and she told us that she was looking into getting a frameless shower glass door from dulles glass and to remove it. I would like to mention again that she refused to sign my contract or give a deposit and that is the only reason that we quit working in her home, We don't like to work for free. Please do not be fooled in our business we run into a lot of people trying to get away with their remodel projects for free but I can't believe that she will go to the extend of placing a bad comment when she hasn't paid for 1 screw (embarrassing) And to all contractor BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

We're delighted to be able to recommend Mario Salazar and his excellent team - Richard, a MASTER tiler, and Omar, who did an outstanding job on our horrible bathroom, which looks better than we could have ever imagined. They were on time, courteous, professional and full of great advice, and perfectionists. It was obvious to us that they took great personal pride in their work, as they should. Except for extra cost for the much-more-serious-than-we-thought mold remediation, Mario stayed on budget. We had received 3 bids, with Mario's being the highest, but his bid also included extra precautions against further mold infestation, as in water-proofing the cement board, enlarging the shower, and tiling to the ceiling. Further, he had previously worked for our daughter and was highly recommended by her and her husband. We look forward to having them do our guest bathroom.....then maybe the kitchen. They're the best!

Mario was referred to me through a friend who also had a deck built. I was impressed with my friend’s outcome and when the time came for me to have a deck built, I called Mario. Mario provided me a series of price quotes and took the time to explain the differences as well as the features and benefits of the different types of building materials. Although I did not go with top of the line composite material, which would make a larger contract for him, Mario and his team put in every amount of effort and attention to detail as if they were working on a huge project. He always picked up his phone. He was always on time. He and his work force were professional at all times as well.

I had a rough-in in my basement that I wanted to construct into a bathroom. After getting endless estimates and being told of all the limitations of what could be done, I found Mario with Metropolitan. He immediately put me at ease and we were able to proceed. Once I started with this one renovation, I figured it was an ideal time to update my 3 other bathrooms as well with new flooring, cabinetry, and sinks. Of course one remodel prompts another and I then decided to redo my master shower as well. Needless to say, the work and craftsmanship far exceeded my expectations! They even added small touches that I hadn't considered, which make a huge difference - such as a shower recess light and niche for bath products. They stayed true to cost and schedule and were always very prompt and professional. They completely straightened and cleaned up afterward...and my neighbor even noticed and commented on how they would clean up and haul things away after each day and were always very courteous to her.
They even went above and beyond when I called panicked in the midst of the bathroom renovations about a rain leak (NOT bathroom or plumbing related) and promptly looked at it and helped me to isolate that problem.
All in all, they were a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable and detail oriented, and the craftsmanship was impeccable. I've gotten NUMEROUS compliments on my bathrooms and am very pleased with the outcome. I would definitely not hesitate to call again for future work and service and have had nothing but glowing recommendations for them.
