Mauricio and his team are wonderful to work with. He never lost patience with me (I am a perfectionist), and he has an awesome sense of humor. I actually enjoyed working with him and usually I dread working with contractors. His bid was prompt and clearly written out, he and his men were here on the job regularly and worked hard the entire time. They are all highly skilled and know what paint is best used where. For example, he used a deck paint that you won't slip on when the surface is wet and he used a slight gloss on the brick so that dirt won't adhere to the house. He is the only painter I have ever been able to convince to paint our storm door and it looks great! He even thought about painting our brass house numbers black and the way he painted them looks really nice. He got the numbers on the house just right. He even painted our mailbox. Mauricio is very detail oriented -- he asked if I was planning to replace the porch lights and although I had not, I went ahead and did so and he installed them. Mauricio came to us highly recommended by several neighbors and last year he did 5 houses on the street behind us. Many neighbors have approached him for work and others have told me what a fine job he was doing. We will certainly be having him back for other projects. Also, he and his men were in the house, working independently and I did not have to worry about anything. We have 4 dogs and none of them ever got out of the back yard and also, they loved Mauricio and his workers.

We even contracted them to perform additional work that was out of scope from our initial request because they had done such a nice job painting. The painters were professional, courteous and prompt. The quality of the work was great as well. Professionalism is rated as a 'B' due to the home office correspondence we received the evening after the work was completed. The office sent an email which didn't ask at all about our satisfaction with the work, but instead had a very defensive tone, making excuses for the work not being completed. I couldn't understand why they needed to take that approach when we hadn't said a word about being unhappy with what was done. We knew the room was too big to finish in a day and we were very happy with the work. We had no intention of saying otherwise, then got the email within 30 minutes of arriving home where they blamed us for not moving furniture as why the work wasn't done. When I sent a short email response saying we were pleased with the work and were confused by the tone of their email no one responded. The whole post-painting experience was just strange...and unfortunate since we otherwise would have given them 'A' across the board.

When LA Custom Painting finished the job, the house looked brand new, even though it is nearly 60 years old.  They used three different colors -- ceiling white on the ceilings, a different white on the trim, and a soft gray on the walls.  The house sold within two days of being put on the market.  The paint job helped a lot! 

I have used LA Custom Painting in the past, and they always do an outstanding job.  The owner and staff members of LA Custom Painting are unfailingly courteous, professional and easy to work with.  I continue to recommend them highly!

Beautiful!  Mauricio was wonderful.  He's very skilled at what he does.  His rates are reasonable. And equally important to us, he is a great communicator. We were scheduling around weather and another contractor working at the house, and he would call and check in, and always returned my calls.  His team was meticulous and they were hard workers.  I would highly recommend them.

Top quality work.  They were very clean and precise, which was a major concern when painting the walls of a newly renovated kitchen. Will use them again.

Mauricio and his team are outstanding. They worked efficiently and carefully and did a first rate job on my house. They found pieces of rotting wood that others had overlooked and cleverly solved a few longstanding problems that I was having.  I feel so lucky to have found Mauricio and he is not my go to person for home repairs!

The job went splendidly. Mauricio and his crew arrived on time, went right to work with the surface preparations, and were meticulous on the painting and cleanup. Mauricio and his men were personable, yet professional. The pricing was very fair and reasonable, and saved me days of having to paint these areas myself.. I will unhesitatingly call LA Custom Painters for any future painting needs and refer them to my friends and family.

We hired Mr. Mauricio to redo our basement. It took us a while to get our basement ready for his men to come in and get started just because we had so much stuff to throw out, but Mr. Mauricio was very patient with us and would work around our schedule. Once they were able to start everything went as planned. His workers are truly amazing they were able to come in the evening and stay late just to make sure we got our basement done in time to have a family member move in on time. 

L.A. Custom Painting was one of the best painting companies I've ever worked with.  They paint both the inside and outside of houses.  For me, they painted a very spacious two bedroom, two bathroom rental condominium for me, as well as some rooms in my house.  
The owner, Mauricio Lizama, is very professional, prompt, reliable, and courteous.  Most important, he works hard to ensure that everything is done properly.  For example, tenants in the rental condominium I own had painted some walls a dark accent color, and there was also some wall damage.  By the time L.A. Custom Painting finished painting, the walls were smooth as glass.  The painters also had applied extra coats of the new off-white paint automatically to the darker accent walls to ensure full coverage.  
One of the bathroom doors in the condo was sticking because the wood had swollen from the humidity.  L.A. Custom Painting shaved it down before painting to ensure that it would open and close properly in the future.  Mr. Lizama also called my attention to one of the  sliding glass doors leading to the balcony where a strip of rubber along the edge of the door was coming off, and air was coming in from outside.  He replaced it on his own and didn't even want to charge me for it!  At my request, he re-caulked the tub, because mildew was setting it.  He did a beautiful job.  So he is an all-around handyman as well.  Finally, Mr. Lizama was helpful when I needed advice on picking a paint color for the bathroom and den in my own home.  I would recommend L.A. Custom Painting highly.,
