Kurtis Kwik Kerb & Koncrete

We called Kurtis Kwik Kerb & Koncrete in July 2009 for an estimate to have our driveway extended by approximately 150 sq. ft. A representative from the organization called back within a day, came by the next day and sent us an estimate within 48 hours. We were pretty content with the first half of our experience. It took our home-owners association about 2 months to approve the project after we get the estimate and due to a surgery, we were not able to call for the work to be completed until the end of September 2009. When we called, I spoke with the same representatve and he said that he would be able to come out the 1st week of October to do the work. He said he would need to stop by to refamiliarize himself with the job. We set up a time on the next Saturday. I called later that week to discuss a new time for him to come over and we decided on Monday between 5pm and 8pm. At that time I asked that if the work he did was ruined due to rain or some other unforeseen circumstances, is it their normal practices to re-do the work. He said that for the amount he had quoted me, probably not. That was a little unsettling. But as it was a small job and he couldn't remember what it looked like, I thought maybe he assumed he'd charged too little. He also told me to call mis-utility so that everything would be ready by the 7th. I called mis-utility and they informed me that the contractor was also supposed to call them for a positive ID confirmation. I called the contractor to let him know he had to call mis-utility and he acted surprised- that too was a little unsettling as I would have thought he'd done this all before with other jobs. Finally, the Monday came for him to come look at the job again before they began and he never showed. I called the next day to see if their was some communication problem and he never returned my call. While the beginning of our experience was good, in the end, we wasted our time and energy calling mis-utility and waiting for him to show up and we dont' have our drive-way extended as we had hoped for the winter.
