J & J FLOORING CORP

Unacceptable - company did good work but failed to provide adequate warranty work when called upon. They did return twice for the same thing, tile and grout coming up, and even admitted the thinset they used was probably bad. Tried calling and emailing again but never did get a response. Now the floor is coming up in several areas and I will be forced to replace the entire floor again.I would stay clear of this company - the owner at the shop originally tried to push me off saying they were too busy for the next several weeks and wouldn't be able to get to me anytime soon. I complained stating I was a current customer and demanded my floor was addressed ASAP; which they finally did but failed to address additional issues.I WOULD STAY CLEAR...

They were fantastic to work with.  They gave a rapid estimate and were able to start the work as soon as the insurance company responded to the estimate.  They are very interested in pleasing the customer...truly customer service oriented.  They are extremely tidy and professional and trustworthy.  We will use them again next year to tile the upstairs bathrooms.

They are super when it comes to responsiveness.  They e-mail back and forth all the time.  It’s perfect.  They are very articulate.  It's like part of the family, but the good side of the family.  They are super particular about their work too.  They give us good recommendations or things that might work better for everything that they do, like better color and so forth.  They are laid back and are very easy to work with.  They clean up after themselves, so everything in the house is perfect.  As a matter of fact we have let them have full access to the house.  There are no issues.  They are still doing some more work for us.  The work has been perfect.  We have recommended them to several friends too.

Fantastic. Typically a messy, dusty business. They put down plastic so the dust wouldn't travel. We went out of town on Friday. Came back on Sunday..was that smart? He talked me into it and off we went (with a little fear that ouor whole house would be gone when we returned. Well, everything was great. House was intact and back to normal. Floors refinished beautifully...no muss no fuss. Done! Trustworthy and fast. LOVED them!! Sometimes you just know you can trust them.

Joomo gave me a quote for the job which sounded reasonable. The job required 3 days, plus drying time. Work commenced 8/1 when a J&J carpenter spent an entire day replacing the blackened boards. During the second day a team of workers sanded, stained and put down 1 coat of polyurethane on the new boards. This had to dry. The final day a 2nd coat of polyurethane was put down. This had to dry. The J&J people are cheerful and hardworking. They don't waste any time. The floors look very good. There is a very faint difference between the old boards and the new boards, because the floor is 40-50 years old. All the floors in the house look very good.
