Erlich Pest Control

Don't waste your time with this unreliable organization. They took over Conner's Pest Control (who we were with for 20 years) and it has been a disaster. Yesterday was the third time they didn't show for the scheduled appointment without any call. They want you to sit around ALL day waiting. We're moving on from them.

Erlich Pest Control took over our previous pest control company, Connor's which we used for decades. We immediately experienced a decline in service. Work by an inexperienced technician resulted in our request for follow-up service. We determined that their work was not properly monitored or supervised. We terminated our service.

Erlich bought both Protech and Connor's, and then the customer service plummeted. We loved our technician, so I held on for a few months after the buyout, but I could never get anyone on the phone without being on hold for 10 minutes, it took several weeks to make an appointment, even for the guaranteed extra visits between regular appointments, and then they totally messed up my bills and double billed me. Plus, the mosquito tick treatment didn't even work. I canceled. I'm so disappointed that Erlich bought two great companies and then ruined them.

I used ProTech last year and all went well. I received a post card in early 2019 stating that they would be coming out on the 8th of May -- I put it on my calendar, and they called me two days before stating they would be there. They did not show up, so I called and they told me I had made a mistake and they would be out the following week -- okay I said. They did not show up the following week -- no call either to say they wouldn't be there. I called two days later and was told politely that she did not know why the technician did not show up. Marvin, the technician called me and said he had "time constraints" and could not come that week, as promised -- it was just impossible because of his "time constraints." Uh, no, sorry -- not paying you any longer and I cancelled with ProTech. Fairfax County is so busy that companies just take no responsibility any longer because they know they can find someone else to hire them -- even for a short period of time they do not worry. Kind of sickening.

I used this service for a couple years to keep the pests out. Oscar, the technician, was a kind, knowledgeable man whom I trusted. He did great about addressing our mice issue when one came up about a year into the service. Their quarterly service didn't address the stink bugs that kept coming in and they couldn't help when we had a bat family take up roost in our attic even for an additional cost. When I paid the $100 extra for the stink bugs they assured me that the extra spraying wouldn't kill bees which it did---for a month straight I found 2-3 dead bees near my flowers each morning. So sad given their overall decline. In the end, it just wasn't a good service since they a) couldn't help with some of my pest problems and b)charged extra to attack those they could help in addition to the quarterly fee. Would not recommend.

Have had this service for over a year. Highly satisfied with services (bi-monthly) as well as incident calls to take care of specific pest related incidents. Very pleased.

ProTech Termite & Pest Control is always organized, professional, and effective. They let me know well in advance when they will visit my property. I've not had any issues with bugs since they began their services. While they offer interior treatment, they've never had to provide it because their exterior treatment does it all. Really like this company. They don't try to upsell, provide just what I want, and make the process simple.

Still in progress but so far, pretty happy. Still have some problems with bees and the occasional rodent in the attic.

I have had mice in the past get into our walk out basement. I hired ProTech to find out where they were getting in and fix the problem (at least that's what I thought). The technician showed up to the property on time and got right to the task. He did a quick visual inspection of the basement and exterior of the house. He suggested that they were getting in through the outside door, sneaking in through a tiny crack in the weather proofing. He then put out bait traps along the wall and in the crawl space under my split level. After I inquired if he was sure that they weren't getting in anywhere else he put some sealant around my water hose. So far no rodents, but we'll see.

The inspector was punctual, friendly, and professional. He sent me the reports via email soon after that fit the time restraints of my needs. Highly recommend. Thanks!

Marvin was on time, friendly and professional, and full of mouse facts. He did a full inspection of our house, plugged holes, set traps, and scheduled a return visit in 30 days. He laid out our options clearly. Very pleased overall.

They arrived a little early, but we were ready. Their representative was knowledgeable, efficient and professional.

Very well. Very professional staff who was punctual and took time to answer questions. When wasps presented a problem between inspections, they sent someone out to take care it at no additional charge.

I'd give them all "A's".  I think their price is right in line.  The guy was really helpful.  The guy was very thorough in explaining everything.  I think they did a good job.

Well-they do what they say they will, and are responsive if you alert them to particular concerns or problems.

The price is about the same as everybody else, but it is 6 applications, not 4. Other providers will come 4 times a year, and every time it is $100. Protech will come 6 times a year and every time it is $70. It adds up to the same thing. I would give them a B overall because the ant problem is always there. They don't put bait, they just spray, so with the spraying it kills them off for a while, but it doesn't reach. With the bait, they take the bait back to their nest and it helps a little to destroy the nests. I would use them again probably. They are fine, I can't think of anything else they can improve on.

They're gone! They come once a quarter for the yearly price of approximately $400 we paid.

I don’t keep anybody that they do anything for me if they’re not good. I never compare prices. I went by the service I received. If the service was good they got what were trusted.

It was excellent. It was was one the best experiences I have had with a service provider. George, the technician, was prompt, courteous, and honest. He determined that it was likely just a single mouse and explained the options in case it became a bigger issue. If I ever have any additional pest issues, including bugs, ants, etc., ProTech is going to be my first call.
