Enrique's bid was the lowest of 3 and he was willing to do some simple handyman work such as change out light fittings, so we hired him. He was efficient in completing the project but the price agreement was verbal. When I asked for a written bill, he had added $1,000 onto the original quote. He painted most of the house, but some walls still needed an extra quote and brush marks can still be seen on some walls where a coat was only done on part of a surface. Eventually, I confronted him about the price, and he agreed to the initial quote, but by this time I did not trust him so we paid him part of the final payment and told him to go away without fully completing the job. The light fittings that he changed were satisfactory. I ended up finishing the painting. I would not trust him to do any work around the house again.
