Elstan Painting did a fantastic job!!! I hired them to paint my existing kitchen cabinets and they turned out beautifully! Elstan and his team of painters were very professional, punctual, good communication, did excellent prep work, very neat and efficient. I would highly recommend!

I'm pretty fussy when it comes to exactness, neatness, and perfection. If I'm going to pay a professional to do work in my home, it's only because I absolutely cannot do it myself. I had used Elstan Painting in the past to do some exterior paint work at a rental property and they did a fantastic job. For this job, I needed a good painting of my two-story foyer. After contacting Elstan Perez, he personally came to my home to see the space, made some great suggestions, we talked about colors and finishes, he pointed out where some repairs were needed (nail pops, cracks) and it was a very thorough consultation. He followed up by emailing me a detailed written estimate. After signing the contract, providing a deposit of 25%, and my paint color choice - his crew showed up 4 days later at 8am to begin work! The crew of three neatly put down drop cloths, carefully brought in ladders, hung plastic drapes so the work area was isolated from the rest of the home. Elstan came in to check on the progress several times. The foyer is now beautiful: fresh and clean! The corners and edges are meticulous. There are two thick coats. No roller marks at all. The crew was polite, with no loud talking or music - so my husband and I could continue with (my) housework and (his) conference calls. They cleaned up with clean cloths and mops, so things are sparkling better than when they arrived! All furniture and rugs were replaced. Their work was a bargain compared with the 2 weeks I would have spent teetering up and down ladders + trips to the ER when I would inevitably fall. I recommend Elstan Painting without hesitation or reservation.

Beautiful! Elstan came to our home and inspected the job area (a 2-story foyer and hallway), made some great suggestions, and provided a reasonable written quote for the work. On the scheduled day, his team of 3 men showed up with all the necessary ladders, paint, and equipment. They spent time to prepare and clean the walls, applied the paint, and then cleaned up (better than it was before!).

Elstan was superb. Knowledgable, diligent, and efficient. I got estimates from other companies and painters - Elstan was by far the most reasonable and the most skilled. Other providers were only willing to put 2 painters on the job, but, for the same price, Elstan led a team of three. The job was difficult due to to challenges of being an older home, 3 of the walls were cement, and 3 were also partially undergound. He used the best materials for the job, which were included in the price.

Elstan Painting is a first-class top quality painter. Once you use them you will never use anyone else. Their team of painters is profession, neat and clean, respectful of your home, and always on time. They are expensive but you only get what you pay for and they give you the best job possible. They make sure all walls are sanded and repaired before they begin to paint. They also use top of the line paint.

You will not be disappointed hiring Elstan Painting for your painting work! I knew from our initial handshake that it would be a worry-free process and it certainly was! Elsan is professional in every way - punctual, extremely detail-oriented, trustworthy, clean and neat, and willing to work with you to give you the end result you want. He and his team worked straight through for two weeks on our home, very carefully prepping surfaces before finally being able to put up the paint. He always kept us informed of what was going on throughout the process and carefully took care of little things that were over and above. Our large collection of heavy outdoor planters were carefully covered in plastic each day and sometimes moved on and off the porch as needed - amazingly, the flowers still looked great after all the work was finished! I can't recommend them highly enough - you will be in good hands! I would not hesitate to use their services again -

Elstan Painting is the best...plain and simple. We had Elstan come out in 2012 to give an estimate on painting a baby's room. We wound up doing it ourselves, (babies were more expensive than we thought), but when we called Elstan back a few months ago to give us an estimate on a much bigger job in our house, he remembered every detail of what we had asked him for 3 years earlier. We were very impressed with that. Also, when he came, the info packet he gave us was extremely professional and had all the info anyone could ask for; references, insurance info, accreditations, business info, etc. Now on to this job, we had 5 painters come and give estimates. Only Elstan and one other company really asked detailed questions to make sure they could be accurate in their estimates and give us the end result we wanted. The other company was significantly more $$. Elstan wasn't the cheapest, but he wasn't the most expensive either...but we're not buying bleach here folks. When he and his team started the job he introduced each member of his team to us by their first name. The work was completed on time despite an issue that came up. Even though the issue was no fault of Elstan's, he even went to the paint store late at night so he could get started early the next day to fix things for us. And the results are perfect. And to give you an idea of the attention to detail Elstan provides; every single screw on each face plate for the light switches and outlets were perfectly vertical when he put them back. If he pays that much attention to detail just putting back wall plates screws, think about the detail he gives to his painting!! THAT attention to detail is VERY tough to find! Hire Elstan Painting.

Prior to hiring Elstan, the owner, he came to our new home and gave us an estimate. When he came for the estimate he also gave a very professional presentation that included information re: his Experience, Licensing and Bonding. He worked in our home for 2 days and he brought with him 3 men. Those that he brought with him were also polite and professional. They did the painting and Elstan did the Handyman jobs which included hanging pictures; installing door stops; relocating bathroom hardware; and other helpful odds and ends. The hardware relocation required patching and painting walls and they did an excellent job. They were careful to cover the floors and furniture while painting and swept after removing the paints and materials. They were all very neat and clean. I am happy to recommend them.

It went very, very well. Initially I thought the estimate was too high based on the many other reviews and prices I looked at on Angie's list. Also, I had two other estimates that were less but others could not accommodate the need to have this done before delivery of new window treatments. Elstan is great to work with and we arrived at a compromise. Elstan and his crew were punctual and professional. I tried not to pack boxes too heavy because we can't move them. The crew was very willing to help. They were neat and cleaned up the debris every day. Overall, it was a very satisfactory experience. House looks great.

Elstan and his crew transformed my home. He came highly recommended by a friend whose husband had been a painter in a previous career. The husband was quite pleased with Elstan's work and reasonable prices. Elstan and his crew were always at my home by 8:30am each morning, polite and extremely professional. They were perfectionists in their work. Because of the breadth of the project, we agreed to a daily rate and I paid for the supplies. I purchased the paint directly and any miscellaneous materials which he bought, he gave me receipts for reimbursement. He quoted me a daily rate that was more than another contractor, but Elstan estimated wallpaper removal to take 3 days and the other quoted me 6 days and was not immediately available. A third contractor quoted $7000 just to remove wallpaper. I am glad that I made the right choice. He and his stellar crew were amazing. Notably, Elstan did not include his time in his quote or charge me for this either although he was mostly onsite working and managing his crew. He did need to step away on one day and from time to time, but was always up front about his availability. And during his absence, his crew never missed a beat. They stayed in stride and were clear about what would be accomplished. When the flooring guys overlapped one day with the painting, Elstan and his crew coordinated cordially with the flooring guys. I have worked with many contractors and have rarely encountered a crew of this level of attention to detail and professionalism. I really lucked out! When I gave a tip for the crew members at the end of the job, I received personal "thank yous" from each member. I look forward to working with Elstan and his crew again.

We have hired Elstan Perez and his crew three times over the past few years. They have now painted the entire interior of our home and much of the exterior. I love to use lots of paint colors and designs (e.g., black, red and white walls, plus a candy cane paint job on a basement pole). Elstan always cheerfully agreed to take on my kooky, and challenging, painting projects at no additional fee. Their work is truly immaculate. Having recently had a good deal of renovations done with a lot of different contractors, Elstan and his crew exceeded them all in terms of punctuality, professionalism and dedication to making the customer happy. He and his team always arrived at precisely the same time each morning, they were quiet and clean, and finished exactly when they said they would. For my own convenience, I paid them in full before the work was done (something I would never do with another contractor). Elstan said he doesn't like to be paid until he completes his work. Nevertheless, they finished the job perfectly, even without my holding back any funds. Also, Elstan repeatedly told us to make a punch list of items that need touch up so they could come back (after they were paid in full). The problem is I can't find anything to put on the list. I am actually pretty hard to please, but have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Elstan Painting. I would hire no else.

Elstan was easy to work with. He and his team was prompt and professional. Work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction. Would definitely recommend for future projects. No complaints!

Elstan Painting did a fine job painting my vinyl shutters and mailbox. For some reason, several painters didn't want to paint the mailbox. I would definitely recommend them whether it would be for exterior or interior painting. Mr. Perez, the owner of the family operated company, is very personable and easy to work with.

Elstan supervised the entire job. Showed up on time each day and was very professional. The wood repairs look great as does the new paint. It took 5 days to do the job and they even worked a 1/2 day on Sat. We are very pleased with the work done and will definitly use this company again.

Elstan handled the entire job from estimation and examination of what wood replacement would be required, through consultation on color planning and timing of the job, to the actual carpentry and painting. This was the second of three jobs we've had Elstan handle (the other two being interior jobs), and we have always been impressed with his professionalism, competence and honesty. He was very careful to make sure that details such as caulking various places where trim met brick were performed properly and the overall quality of the job was excellent. Work was done promptly and in a reasonable amount of time. As with any exterior job, the vagaries of weather have to be allowed for, but Elstan was very good about keeping us informed about schedule and asking us if proposed changes worked for us. His "houseside manner" is excellent. Elstan is the first to admit that he is not the cheapest painter around (hence the B rating on cost), but if the rating were "Value" instead of "Price", he would get a firm A.

Elstan and crew did an amazing job. Elstan himself is extremely professional and is obviously very committed to customer satisfaction. The crew showed up right on time every day, and Elstan was always there with them. Any time I had to call about a question, Elstan either answered the phone or called back very quickly - a trait that I didn't have in my contractor, so I was extremely happy about this. They went above and beyond and did some things that weren't even part of the job - such as fixing a problem I had with the track on a kitchen drawer they were painting. I couldn't be happier with the results, and often find myself staring at the lines between the ceilings and walls being amazed at how perfect it looks. I highly recommend them!!

Elstan Perez and his fine crew provided us with the finest interior painting performance that we have experienced in our 41 years of owning this home. They painted two bedrooms and two closets with great skill and professionalism from start to finish. Elstan provided valuable recommendations prior to the start of the project. He is very friendly, engaging and a pleasure to work with. The entire crew was very considerate of any belongings remaining in the rooms. We will use Elstan Painting for any future indoor painting projects.

They were excellent. They took so much time and effort blending the paint. It was an unbelievable job they did. We were very pleased with the outcome of the work and the services they provided. I selected Elstan Painting to paint the exterior of my home after interviewing five companies. Elstan's price was competitive - and Elstan himself was extremely nice, very attentive to what I wanted, and very professional. He sat down with me to discuss all the particulars of the job, the paint to be used, and problems that need attention on my home. Elstan called me a few days before starting the job. A break in the rainy weather was forecast, and he wanted to take advantage of it. Elstan and his crew showed up right on time each morning. They were meticulous in every detail of their work. All of the prep work, power washing, sanding, scraping, and wood repair was extraordinarily well done. The crew even cleaned the outside of my house gutters by hand. Elstan removed our front door to spray paint it and did a beautiful job. He painted the cement-block retaining wall by our outdoor basement stairs with waterproofing masonry paint and it has never looked so good. Elstan and his crew were all very nice guys and it was pleasure to work with them. When the painting was complete - in exactly the time Elstan had said - the crew even washed the storm windows before replacing them. Overall, this was an outstanding paint job and my home looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to use Elstan Painting again.

Elstan and his crew were fantastic and I would definitely use them again. Elstan is very good with communication and periodically called to check in while the job was in progress. He was great about scheduling and even showed up on a Saturday in order to stay on schedule after a rain delay. His crew worked very hard, and the finished product was top-notch. They did more than I expected, for example leaving the place clean at the end of each day even though the house was empty at the time. Elstan offered to come back to fix any touch-up spots that we found later, but it's been two months and we haven't needed it.

Very pleased with the work that Elstan and his crew performed. From the time of estimate to start of work was roughly 6 weeks, but once started, work was fully completed in 5 days. Each day, they did a great job of cleaning up the job site and minimizing inconvenience to my neighbors. Price was roughly 15% higher than my other bid, but I think that the price differential was probably worth it given the quality of the work.
