A two-week job became an 8-month nightmare, resulting in costly loss to homeowner; quality of work done was poor & shoddy; much of the work for which we contracted was NOT done; workers' improper use of tools resulted in significant damage to the porches and the contractor tried to "cover it up" by replacing much of the porch but used an inferior quality wood and improper method of installation (thus requiring that the entire porch be replaced at great cost); workers abused access to the house by using radios and re-setting the stations, throughout the house; unplugged the sump pump and failed to reconnect it; left water faucets on and running; workers failed to clean-up after themselves; project manager failed to provide project oversight and mismanaged time and resources; contractor refused to negotiate a settlement.
