In short, she was always on my side working to make my house purchase as simple and successful as possible. The best part about working with Katharina (Kat) was that she was always more focused on answering my questions (and there were a lot from me), giving me good advice sound advice, and finding homes that met my needs than she was on closing a deal. I would recommend het to anyone. She was a valuable asset in my quest on purchasing a home.
Thank you very much Katharina Nissen! :)
Sunny Hammerly at ReMax Choice (Bruce and Tanya and Associates). For a very long time the idea of owning a home was
never something I believed to be possible. My 3-year old and I would often
venture into Open Houses just for the experience, always fantasizing what it
would be like to live in a home instead of the tiny 800 sq ft. condo we were
living in. As a single mom, I just honestly believed it was not an option.
I met Sunny at an Open House in our neighborhood, and both my daughter and I
really hit it off with her (she’s a mother of 2). From that point on, Sunny
would intermittently email me listings of properties she thought I might like.
I figured it was probably time to let Sunny know that she didn’t need to waste
her time with me; I probably couldn’t afford to buy a house anyway! Sunny
seemed to think it wouldn’t be as impossible as I felt it was and gave me
some contact numbers of lenders. She suggested I contact them just to see if
I could even afford it, and if so, how much I could get approved for. That
way I would know (either way) and then go from there. After contacting the lender (who was extremely
helpful), I still didn’t think I could own a home. I just felt the homes in my
area were much more expensive than I could afford (or get approved for), and I
didn’t want to even consider buying something I didn’t love - meanwhile Sunny
continued being optimistic about our chance of finding a house I would love and
be able to afford.
Sunny would regularly email me listings from time to time and I was surprised at
how much she seemed to understand my taste. I don’t think she sent me one
listing I didn’t like. Sunny and I would look at houses every now and then,
but I was still very scared and uncomfortable with the idea of buying a house.
I didn’t feel it was the responsible thing to do as a single mom at that
moment.
In less than 2 months I found my house. Sunny completely held my hand
the whole way. My countless questions never fazed her. It wouldn’t matter
whether I was asking about financing, plumbing, moving, cleaning, etc., Sunny
answered every single question with the utmost patience, honesty and
knowledge. There was just something about her that was reassuring and allowed
me to wholeheartedly trust her. From the very beginning Sunny had a way of
putting herself in my shoes, giving me the sense that she always had my best
interest at heart and, in turn, my confidence in making the decision to buy a
home felt absolute.
My daughter and I now have our own house and I give Sunny 100% of the credit in
making the whole process work smoothly. Sunny went well above and beyond her
responsibilities as a realtor. I never would have had the confidence to buy my
own house without her, and I will always thank her for that.
