The original estimate was for three days but it turned into four days because of a scheduling error. However, the net result was superb. When the stair-step installers discovered that the new tread and riser were not the correct size, the supervisor came out quickly and corrected the situation by scheduling his master carpenter to rebuild the step the next morning. Watching that craftsman work with just a few tools, a sharp eye for detail, and patient skill, was a true learning experience. The new step is a work of art and the new hickory flooring is beautiful. The room is now much brighter with the updated hardwood floor. We first chose B&B to replace the foyer, hall, and breakfast room with the same hickory flooring--it looked so good that we decided to replace the old carpet in the family room which enlivened the first floor to the current style. We will use them again for another upcoming project. B&B was referred to us by a carpenter we know well. JAH

They were really good. I was just in there the other day getting information about getting new carpet and they were very helpful again. It was several rooms of carpeting. They were helpful and they were very timely. They were on time and they did the job when they said they were going to do it, and got it done quickly. Very professional. I’d say we probably went because the price was good. I would definitely use them again.

I have used these guys thee times now, for both carpet and hardwood floor installation. For my second install, I was moving overseas and planned to rent out my house. The staff helped me to choose durable carpet that would look good and stand up to renters. They even helped me to save money by suggesting that I not replace carpeting in low traffic, rarely accessed under-the-stairs storage. When I moved back in to the house, they helped me to choose hardwood floors that were attractive and sustainable, spending a lot of time with me to answer all my questions (which were myriad - I took 2 weeks to make my decision!). They gave me accurate and prompt estimates every time, found less costly alternatives, worked with the manufacturer to get a price break, showed up when they said they would, and finished when they said they would. A great, long-time, family owned business that cares about its reputation. I didn't have to pay the second installment until I was satisfied with the work. I can't say enough good things about these guys. DON'T go with the big box store with their "subcontractor" crews of questionable experience and honesty. DON'T go with the LL guys and their cheap Chinese stuff. Pay a few more dollars, and know you can trust the crew, the product, and the company, and that you support local small businesses.

Mike, the owner was knowledgeable and very helpful in discussing different options and making selections. Their estimates were detailed and thorough, though not the lowest - they tended to be in higher mid-range of 4 estimates received. Mike was available to us throughout the project and keep us well informed on materials, what to expect, and any changes required. Jose, the team leader, and Fabio were excellent. The team was on time, professional and very experienced. They brought in a 3rd crew member, Rigo, when needed; provided advice and options along the way; and, kept us well informed. They ran into a number of challenges in our 60 year old house and were able to resolve each to our satisfaction, without an increase in cost. They also worked well with another contractor doing carpentry and painting prep throughout the house. B&B does not do refinishing of hardwoods, so we had to have a 3rd contractor take down our bannister and redo the stairs. Again they worked well in coordinating with this contractor. In short, we could not have asked for a better experience nor better value ....and the results are stunning. We cannot say enough good things about Jose, Fabio and Rigo. We have gone through several major renovations and without a doubt they rank at the top of our list, along with the painting contractor with whom they coordinated.

They have a huge selection of carpeting & Irene was very helpful in the store. They came out to do the work on a time & did an excellent job on the installation. We are very happy with the new carpeting.

Julio and his helpers showed up on time and went right to work during each phase. They were protective of the previously installed floorings and did a very professional installation in each area. They completely cleaned up after their work to include vacuuming the areas.

Jose and Favio (Monday & Wednesday) and Jose and Rigoberto (Tuesday) arrived on time and did an exception job on installing over 700 sq. ft. of hardwood. The removal of the parquet flooring proved somewhat difficult due to improper insulation, but it was done. They cleaned up the work areas each evening and left the site broom & vacuum clean.

"Rieo" did and outstanding and very professional remove and install in about four-hours. He arrive on-time, we moved the large furniture from the room and he went to work cutting up the carpet and padding and removing the now scrap. He screwed down the subfloor in multiple places to reduce floor noise. He then put down and padding and provided a sample for reference. He then installed the wall-to-wall carpet in the master bedroom, dressing area and closets. He cut out a pad to go under our Labs sleeping crate, and gave us a large extra piece for any future use. When ever we had a question, he provided a full explanation. I hope he will return for our planned future carpet installations.

We like them. It was really good. The service was perfect. They did an excellent job and I couldn't be happier. We used them for many years. I know they're very good. I read about the flooring we were getting and they said if it wasn't put on exactly right, you'll have problems with it. If it was installed correctly, you wouldn't have any problem. I know they guarantee their work. We've used them before and I've never heard a complaint from them. Their prices are reasonably good. They're very reliable. They come when they're supposed to come and they do a very good job cleaning. They're the best. It's very easy. Everything was done just the way they said and they way we requested. I'm sure we will use them again. They know the merchandise. They know what to suggest and they're very good people to deal with.

After receiving few estimates from reputable carpet companies around the DC area we decided to go with Band B, not only for the lowest price for the particular carpet we were looking for but based on the feedbacks and my conversation with them. We saw the carpet at a local store who installed wood flooring for us few years back but they were way too expensive and lacked the customer service I expected this time around. I called Band B, they emailed a quote, wife and I accepted it, mailed a check for 1/2 deposit and they installed it after receiving the carpet. Very simple. The crew of two guys were friendly, professional and even routed my speaker cables along the wall prior to the install as I asked them what my options were. Well done and we will definitely get quotes from them in the future.

They gave me very good advice on what to use in terms of carpet and tiling. Did an excellent job of laying carpet and tile--the latter requiring a lot of work to level the basement floor and provide a professional finish. The tile took a little longer to get in stock than they anticipated, but they re-arranged their schedule to get everything before I had to leave town for a week. They got the new carpet and tiling laid in just one day--really impressive.

They were great. The guy who came in was excellent and he knew what he was doing. He was reasonable in his prices. Price, professionalism and quality work were all above average. It's a very high quality. The quality work was excellent. They were in and out of there in like an hour. They were fast. They did a really good job. I like the carpet guy. I would highly recommend him. It's all positive. He was quick to come out and give an estimate. He was on time and did an excellent job. It was faster than expected. I examined the entire wall line all the way around the room and it looks really professional and I couldn't find any mistakes at all, not even a single flaw. There were strips of nails that are tacked down along the wall and the old ones would have worked but they ripped those all up and put new ones down so to me, that showed that they were really doing a professional job. I can't find a weakness in there. It's really excellent on all categories.

You are simply not going to find a better company to work with for your carpet replacement project. We had a lot of furniture they needed to move as well as beds that had to be taken apart; so, they schedule 2 days for the installation. Unbelievably, they managed to do it in one day! It helped that they pre-cut at the warehouse and that their workers are extremely experienced (they've been with the company for 14+ years!). When they left, the furniture was back where it belonged and most of the mess was cleaned up. They missed the carpet fibers that had been knocked off the loft onto the bookcases below....but, honestly, it's not somewhere you'd think to look when cleaning unless you've been down that road before. Almost immediately, we noticed that the installers had fixed a problem we'd had for years. The old padding was improperly installed on the stairs, causing the stair tread depth to be less than ideal and leading to many, many slips down the stairs over the years. If only we'd understood what the problem was, we would have fixed it years ago. That problem is now solved. All in all, we are very happy with the new carpet and have been recommending this company to all our neighbors.

My daughter's townhouse nearby needed carpeting. I was managing it for her preparing it for rent. I checked out several providers from Angies list and decided on B and B floors. They were able to get the carpet I wanted which ended up exactly matching what was in the rest of the house. They were knowledgable about cost and timeline and everything about the experience was positive. I would definitely use them again.

Very professional, punctual, and very clean! Work was done quickly and professionally. They moved the big furniture and cleaned up after themselves. Great experience!

B and B gave a prompt estimate originally. I had questions and some of my flooring selections were no longer available so i went to the retail store and spoke with an associate. It was discovered that my estimate was over by $1000.00 I chose two different floors and made arrangements for the install. I would recommend taking time off of work to be present during the install. It took 3 days to install the vinyl sheet flooring in the basement and to remove the existing carpet and tiles on the main level and install the laminate flooring. I came home each day to discover information that was not originally revealed to me. When questions were asked of the installer, the explanations seemed reasonable. My issue was that the installer didn't reveal the issues to me as they occurred. I had to inquire in order to receive an explanation. I would have felt more comfortable if the installers were forthcoming with the information. The floors look great, although their are what feels like week spots in the floor in certain areas and some squeeking. I payed extra to have some of the squeeks fixed but i was told they couldn't fix all of the spots. My father and I repaired the squeeking and the floors don't make a sound now. I would recommend expecting large amounts of dust throughout your home. I have never had floors replaced before and I was rather surprised at the amount of dust present on furniture, counter tops, and the walls. You will need to do a thorough cleaning job, even the walls, when the work is completed. Make sure to put away anything you don't want covered in dust. Even though the estimate includes furniture being moved, it isn't covered, unless you do that yourself. I would use B and B again. They are a family run business and they responded to all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner. I'm hoping they will remove the carpet on the top level and replace it with laminate sometime in the future.

Band B's installers were on time, professional and efficient. They screwed down some squeaky points in the floorboards before installation. A great job and a great company.

Overall it was a painless experience. We had a few estimates and the pricing was similar to the others. The carpet arrived in a few weeks after we ordered and they installed a few days after. The job only took part of an afternoon. The installers did good work. I do not see any flaws and they left the area cleaner than when they arrived.. We were very pleased with their work.

Their price was reasonable and they did a great job. We were really happy with them altogether. I liked the fact that they took care of it very quickly and that they came when they said they were coming, and did the job exactly as they promised to do it.

This is a family business located in a small shop in a business strip mall. Their prices were better than any big store front store. Their installers were great in every respect (timeliness, cleanliness, quality of workmanship, etc.) They have their own installers. You do not get some fly by night contract guys who do sloppy work. I am in my 70's and have had carpet installed in many homes over the years. This company is as good as they come and better than what you get with all but the very best and without the high prices. Highly recommended. (I sold the home and moved to another state and owe them nothing but thanks.)

Our property management company has used Band B and there was an existing estimate. I went to their storefront and they were very helpful in showing me different levels of quality; they encouraged me to take a few samples home to see how they looked. Based on that, we chose one. I called a couple of times and then they set an installation date. The team was prompt and worked hard to do a professional job - they matched the pattern perfectly, sealed the seams and gave me instructions not to walk on the seams for 24 hours. That all went well and the new floor is beautiful.
. However, to install the floor, we had to turn off the water to the fridge and they moved the fridge. When they put the fridge back, the installer assured me that nothing was leaking. The short version of the story is that it turned out there was a nick (or two) on the line, perhaps from pushing the fridge back or just from the rubbing on the glue or flooring - I have no way to know - and it started to leak into the floor at floor level and into our basement and garage. I didn't know what was causing the leak or where it was coming from for several days (initially thought a cloudburst had caused it). I finally narrowed it down to the main water source but thought perhaps a pipe had cracked and called in a service person for a Sunday morning because I had to get the leak stopped, wherever it was coming from. It turned out it was the line to the fridge. I imagine it was nicked inadvertently, perhaps even by edge of the flooring itself. I called Band B to ask about it, explaining what had happened and that it was certainly inadvertent but had cost me over $300 because in the end - not knowing what the source was and fearing a cracked pipe - I'd called someone in for a Sunday. The Band B people came out the next day and took the pieces of the water line that had been nicked. The original installer was one of the two people who came and he indicated he was being accused; he said the repair should have cost $40 and why hadn't I called Band B? I calmly explained what had happened and the sequence of events; I told him that when we found the leak with the repairman it was almost not visible because it was spurting straight into the floor at floor level, and said I had no way to know what was causing it.
This was the week of September 10 and I have not heard from them since. I sent a follow-up letter 10 days ago. I am extremely disappointed at their approach - they did a super job with the flooring - and even an offer to split the cost would have been welcome, but instead they have neither called back nor said a word. The installer was defensive - I was simply trying to protect my home and dry it out. They can do better as professionals.
