Description of Work: Work done consisted of remodeling the commercial establishment adjacent an existing restaurant so that the space would become one single, larger restaurant, doubling the size from about 3,000 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft. The contractor refined the rough drawings we prepared as a guide to generate a set of blueprints that were submitted to the county for approval and permits. The construction work itself included: 1) making two openings into the adjacent area (through the kitchen and through the carry-out area) by breaking through a concrete firewall; 2) relocating plumbing and sprinkler heads as necessary; 3) rewiring existing electrical connections and wiring new ones to insure proper electrical equipment operation as specified by Owner; 4) tearing down and rebuilding some interior walls and ceiling as necessary; and 5) painting interior walls and ceiling as specified by Owner. The contractor also arranged for county inspections and necessary construction changes to secure final occupancy and fire marshal approvals.
