We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Spartan to build our lake house. As a matter of fact, this is the third home Spartan has built for our family over the years at Lake Anna. From beginning to end, Spartan was with us every step of the way. Their customer service is amazing! They get back to any questions, big or small right away. Even after closing, they continue to be available for questions and help. They stand by the homes they build and have an excellent reputation in the area, of honesty and integrity. The home building software they use is a game changer which makes communication with the entire building team and contractors effortless. It keeps the homeowner up to date on the building process, pricing, permitting, etc. and keeps everyone in the loop, which is important especially when living a distance away. We also appreciate how energy efficient our home is and the energy savings we have seen in all our Spartan homes. There are no hidden costs in the building process, which we really appreciate. Spartan’s standard finishes are very high end to begin with. They are honest about the building process, costs, and timelines and that is something we really value. With such a big investment, we always know that we can trust Spartan to do what they say and say what they do! Another important thing to note is that Spartan is a true custom home builder. We have always appreciated being able to pick all our finishes, even including homemade barn doors, fireplace shelving/mantle/stone/cabinetry, lighting fixtures, shiplap details, vanities, windows, flooring, mirrors and much more! Being a fully customized home is important to us and Spartan takes pride in implementing all these details which is what makes a house a home! We love that throughout the building process, with so many contractors involved, there is hardly any pause in the construction process. Contractors show up on time and do an excellent job and keep the job site clean. The Spartan team is on top of everything, always! They are constantly at the work site and making sure everything is running seamlessly.With Spartan the process is stress-free because we know they are handling everything. We are thrilled to have another Spartan home and will continue to recommend them any chance we get. Great job Eric, Matthew, Krista, Megan, and Benjamin – the dream team!

We purchased a water front lot at Lake Anna in April 2014. After interviewing several area builders, my husband and I contracted with Spartan Homes, Inc. in June 2014 to build our new home. Ed Cofsky and Eric Henry, the principals of Spartan Homes, are both fantastic to work with, extremely  knowledgeable and professional. Ed, our initial contact, helped us choose the perfect design for our new home. Ed was exceptional and helped us create an amazing home plan and living space design for our needs and patiently helped us through many, many design and re-design sessions and option selections. Eric was outstanding in his oversight of the entire construction process, including; site preparation (keeping as many trees on our lot as possible), construction quality and adherence to the schedule, which resulted in the delivery of our home ahead of schedule.  He made helpful suggestions  and observations throughout construction and let us know if something we were proposing during the process would work or not.  
Both Ed and Eric were "hands-on" during the entire process, helped us make the best decisions for our new home and kept us focused. Ed and Eric are completely customer centric throughout the entire process and deliver an exceptional home that is above industry standards and a great value. We highly recommend Spartan Homes and would definitely use them again in the future for additional work on our home.
