Overall, it was expensive, yes, but fascinating and worthwhile experience. Having discovered mold in a wall I suspected my 30 year old window was leaking and secured 3 window replacement estimates. During one of the window sales calls, the salesman from Window World recommended that I use ISAAC for Thermal Imaging to establish exactly where the wall was leaking. I am so happy that I did. At first Mr. Cameron quoted $450 for the process to include a detailed written report stating that the report would be "court ready" and that he is also used as an expert witness when necessary. I told him that I didn't need a fancy report or a witness, I simply needed to find out where the water was getting in before I replaced windows that may not need replacing, and that I was interested in the least expensive service he offered. I was also suspicious of the foundation because a small crack was visable above grade, but we had no idea of knowing what happened with it once it went below grade, so I definitely needed to know the source of the water for certain: windows, foundation or both. Mr. Cameron said he could provide the brief report service for $350. Mr. Cameron was an excellent communicator, although not always on time as scheduled, he always called to update his whereabouts and anticipated arrival time (due to traffic, etc.) He was professional, very informative, and very helpful overall. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone suspicious of mold or foundation water seepage or window leaks to use thermal imaging inspection before you trust a contractor to tell you what is wrong and how to fix it. I recommend ISAAC in this regard. Although the inspection is not cheap, precise pinpoint data could save you thousands in unnecessary repairs or upgrades. It did me.
