Brandon seems like a very nice guy but the professionalism needs improvement. The quote we were given was significantly less than the final bill. We were quoted $600 and we knew the add on of mulch and frame would increase the final bill to roughly $1200 but then the final bill came in at $1600. The logic was not there to understand the difference. And most importantly, if I'm paying premium pricing, I would prefer premium service. The number of times that he mentioned pieces were missing but I am showing him "nope, the piece is right here" was silly. He should have been better organized. He explained he needed to screw in four posts because they fabricated the holes incorrectly... he put them in upside down! But I'm being charged for the screws. Again, I think he was a nice guy, but I also think he was green and did a poor job giving a quote and staying organized. When I'm paying for the mistakes, it's disturbing.

After some trouble nailing down a time for service, they did arrive.  Communication was poor.  When they had a question about what to do with the posts, instead of asking me, they left.  This meant that there were several times that the team had to come back to my house (each time I had to re-initiate contact!) and either do more or fix something that they did wrong.  The two gates that they built for us are VERY poorly finished.  I emailed Brandon about this several times and he kept saying that he'd send them back to sand the edges off and correct the crooked bottom on one of the gates, but this did not happen.  Eventually I just ended up sawing off the edge of one of the gates so that it would actually close. The gates are crooked, and after 4 months the entire lock mechanism has just fallen right off the latching gate because the wood that they used split in SEVERAL places.  They did a bad shim on the very middle of the gate and that's split too.  Honestly my father in law and I could have done a better job ourselves if we had taken a day or two off.  I wish I hadn't spent the money.

Not well. BB is very friendly and professional, but they painted the fence and it almost immediately started peeling BADLY. I called them to come take a look at it and they promised to fix it, but since it was a garden fence we had to wait several months so they wouldn't accidentally spray paint my plants (in the garden). They came back in the late fall, right before it got too cold to paint and sanded and repainted. And now the fence is a yellowish white. Not pretty. I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix this problem. Super nice people, but VERY slow and not good work unfortunately.

Went well, provider was polite and offered some good advice on prolonging the life of our fence.  Had to replace more boards than what was in the $99 deal, so that's why it cost extra.

Brandon is very responsive to calls and also was very willing to modify job as we encountered issues. The crew is generally very efficient and does sound work.  At times there were long delays in between phases of work and some work was not highest quality at first (he fixed all such instances immediately).  Ultimately we were very satisfied with the cost/quality ratio and the final appearance.  I would recommend them to others.

In November 2014 we hired Brandon to build a fence around the backyard of a home we just purchased. His pricing was in-line with the other 3 estimates we received from other companies. We chose Brandon because his price seemed fair and we anticipated using his company for additional outdoor projects over the next year or so. It was a little difficult to nail down the exact start time due to delays (he had trouble getting the wood from his usual supplier) and as time went on I had to be more persistent in my attempts to contact him before I received a response. At one point I simply asked if he still wanted the job and if not, please let me know. We liked the work he did and as of now the fence is still standing strong (although one of the gates has started to twist and although Brandon told us to contact him if this happened, that isn't so easily done as I will explain). We knew when we had the fence built that it would need to be painted and spoke with Brandon about doing that in the spring, once the winter weather was over. We contacted Brandon in the spring and had him come out to get estimates on painting the new fence and several other outdoor projects. He was quick to respond to come out, but I had to follow up with him many times to get the estimates. We took our time deciding what projects we could afford and Brandon followed up with us. We eventually decided that we would only have him paint the fence due to finances and he agreed stating that he could start the job in two weeks. Two weeks came and went with no word from Brandon. When I contacted him he said he could do the job in the upcoming week and he would call me. Still no word and its been an additional two weeks. I sent him an email earlier this week to ask what was going on and have not received a response. I really hesitated to submit a critical review because we did like Brandon and the fence seems well built. But we won't work with him again because he is simply too inconsistent in his communication and its hard to trust someone who says they will do work for you but then doesn't show up or even bother to respond to calls/emails.

The platform is currently in use holding my trailer.  The Backyard Boys worked at a very steady pace without rushing and completed the project ahead of schedule.  The platform was a complete success.  It is so solid that any movement is not an issue.   With a safety railing surrounding the floor, the trailer sits comfortably in the planting at the edge of the driveway, holds the trailer, and does not stick out as a blemish on the landscape of the area.

The details of the construction easily hold up to close inspection.   Corners are square, mitered perfectly, and presents a very professional job.

As indicated, I would not hesitate to call on the Backyard Boys Enterprise for any additional projects in or around the house.

Everything I asked for, they did within the time frame and in a very quality way.  Suggestions were made as to additional ideas and/or how they'd like to accomplish the project.  At all times through out the project, they were communicating their progress, confirming my desires, and efficiently getting the job done.

Brandon worked with me on proposals and  suggested location & size of gates. He also offered the option of black vinyl coated wire, which has worked out very well. He and his men completed the job satisfactorily and cleaned up the job site after it was complete.

We had some issues getting together at the beginning due to some family issues that the vendor had but they always kept us informed, and it is a beautiful thing. We're going to probably have them look at some spec houses we built that aren't selling and get some idea of what making a "backyard" on one of the houses by fencing might look like and cost. That's an endorsement that we would definitely use them again. And will.

Ultimate repair work was sound and appropriate..  My only issue with work quality was that a simple plastic cap was not added to two areas of repair -- to prevent water damage.  The items were so cheap, I just got them myself -- as dealing with this company had already become a pain.
A terrible communicator who was either late or didn't show twice within the 30 days it took to complete this job.  [Why did this need to take 30 days?] Every delay or no show had to be troubleshooted by me -- as no calls to explain occurred -- unless I left a message asking for status.  The merchant had no issue accepting contracts for work as he planned his wedding and then proceeded to delay all work until it was over.  I heard excuses relating to employees who quit while he was on his honeymoon -- but again only after I called to ask why no one showed when they had said they would..
The work was sound enough.. But I have to think there is better customer service elsewhere.

Although the project was delayed due to uncontrollable weather issues, they kept in touch with me and completed the work in a timely manner. I felt they were very honest and professional.

Our fence is beautiful.  Everything is level and follows the mountain topography of our yard very well.  The gates are integrated nicely and swing easily.  Brandon uses special hinges that seem really durable.  It took a little longer than I thought, but there were lots of weather issues and Christmas came in the middle of the installation, so it was understandable.  They did a good job cleaning up afterward and we are very satisfied.  We did get other quotes for the job and this was the lowest, so I was worried that there might be surprises, but they did the job for exactly the amount estimated.  Brandon is professional and willing to explain everything and talk you through all your options.

The letter grades are an average of the two services.  The fence work was very good.  The mowing just didn't work out.  They didn't come regularly and then stopped coming at all and wouldn't return my calls to find out whether or not they were going to continue to mow.

Brandon is extremely professional.  He spent a LOT of time revising fencing plans and giving me options and estimates based on my budget.  He clearly understood the need to be sure the fence was extremely dog-proof and how to achieve that goal.  Every major project like this one has challenges.  Brandon kept in touch with me throughout the process.  When I had questions they were answered.  When I was not satisfied with a part of the fence we discussed options and Brandon kept working until the fence met with my approval.  My project occurred during the busy summer season, so it took a bit longer than hoped for because his crew was needed elsewhere at times, but my major deadlines were met so that I could move into the house.  I truly appreciated that Brandon explained EVERYTHING to me without ever being condescending or impatient.  I highly recommend Backyard Boys, and when I am ready to fence the rest of the property and install a new deck on the house, they are the only ones I will call.

Everything thing went great and the install was completed on time.  Brandon was great to work with and very professional.  Would definitely hire them again.

Brandon was an excellent communicator.  We emailed each other quite a few times.  The process from quote to finish went very smoothly.

From start to finish Backyard Boys were fabulous. Brandon came out and gave me a quote which was within my budget. Within a few days the fence and gate was erected and we received a bill. Overall the team was professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.
