He does both the old vehicles and the modern ones. He gives an honest estimate. He will tell me what things need to be done and what things can wait. He does a great a job. I can take it back to him if I still have some problems. He will work on it until it is right.

I have used Salem Import Services. I took the car there last March. I had major service done. It cost $1600. He did so much stuff to the car. You can tell he is a Volkswagen person. It looks like total chaos, but he knows his stuff, he knows the cars. He knows his stuff. He has a degree in engineering for Virginia Tech. He is a mechanic. He has to be pretty smart if he was a tech.

This man is just excellent. He was able to get my 1976 volkswagen running as I didn't think it would ever run again. I would highly recommend him and advise anyone with car problems to call him.

We had taken our 2007 Passat in to the dealership twice to diagnose a and quot;check engineand quot; light problem. They were unable to find the problem and suggested we replace the fuel injectors and that possibly it had a bad cylinder. They goofed around with the spark plugs, bending the connections and replaced all the coils. We did not have any other work done. After inspecting the work, my husband felt it was shabby and would not take the car back there for anything.
We drove the car for a couple more months with the and quot;Check Engineand quot; indicator on, the car was running rough. We finally took it to Salem Imports based on our daughter's good experience there with her 1999 Jetta. We dropped the car off and Mark phoned my husband with his findings within the next day or two. We had the PCV valve replaced and had the car back within 4-5 days.
The car ran much better and the cost of repairs was very reasonable. The and quot;check engineand quot; light did come on again and my husband drove it over to Mark one morning where he immediately ran the codes. Nothing came up as wrong, so we've changed the gas we use and it seems to be better again.
Based on our experience, we trust Mark with our car repairs. My husband is able to do some car repairs himself, but when the repairs are beyond his ability, we will definitely ask Salem Imports to do the work.
