Firstly, from the 1st job, myself and Craig were talking about this area of the dock that needed to be fixed. He told me he could build a concrete wall that would be level with the wood bumper in order to reinforce the dock and slow down the concrete erosion. Also, I did tell him from the 1st job that I needed to have the concrete spackled to cover the top of the dock and the wood bumper to prevent rain from rotting the new wood beam. Remember it started to rain at the end of the 1st job. Craig and his associate arrived at the site and built a new 12ft wall in front of the existing rotting concrete wall. They had to cut the top level of concrete blocks in order to fit exactly under the wood bumper. They spackled the concrete mix to secure the blocks. The extra concrete mix was used to seal the top of the dock from the 1st job and various other areas throughout the dock. This job took about 2 hours to complete. The check was paid-in-full and mailed to his address upon completion.

First, Craig came to the business to give me an estimate. When the estimate was accepted, the 1st check for 50 percent was mailed to his address in order to purchase materials. Craig and his associate arrived at the site (no specific time was given, only store hours) to perform the work. They needed to cut existing blocks that were damaged in the dock and replaced with new concrete blocks sealed with cement. Then they replaced the wood bumper (16ft long piece) and drilled that wood beam into the concrete dock. Reinstalled wood beams that were placed vertically into dock to provide additional support for wood bumper. When they were just about finished (took about 4 hours), it started to rain. Craig put a plastic sheet barrier over the work and said he would come back the next day to get his plastic sheet barrier. Second check was mailed to his address. The reason for the "B" grade for price is that I had a couple of contractors give me written estimates that were significantly less over the course of a year. Either they underestimated the scope of work/materials and changed their mind or was not their area of expertise. The dock still looks good and I am glad this is fixed.
