Dan and his crew did a beautiful job on my new deck that contained multiple levels and spanned the entire length of my home. They were professional, courtious and performed quality work. During the county inspection, even the inspector was impressed with how well the deck was built.
In describing the scope of work he understood my needs and was happy to accomidate. I designed the deck plans myself and he was able to help me with the fine details to ensure it was structually sound and adhered to county code.
The crew was always on time early morning, and the work was done in the time expected. They also cleaned up after themselves. Swords Construction has met everyone of my expectations and I will happily reccommend them to anyone.

Overall, the results were great ! The house looked like a new house after the work was completed. The shed in the backyard looks like it would withstand a tornado. I would like to post pictures to show the amazing improvements, but I cannot figure out how. If you need any type of construction work done in the Hanover, Goochland, Louisa, Caroline (Richmond metropolitan area) I would highly recommend this company.

We had gotten a good deal on some quality ceramic tiles. But as we began to look at the job in detail, we quickly realized that it was beyond our expertise. We knew Daniel from his music ministry and knew he did good work, so we had him take a look at the job. He began work and finished it in a day. He even came up with a creative use of some small ceramic tiles to make a border around the edges and to smoothly transition between teh mainn floor and the Water Closet. We were extreamly pleased with the high quality workmanship of Swords Construction. We were even more happy with how quickly the job was completed and with Daniel's honesty and positive attitude. We would love to share a picture but do not see where one can be posted.

Up on my first meet with owner Dan Swords, he showed me his many pictures on his Ipod of the past jobs that he had performed,
decks, home framing, apt. framing, roof covers,screened porches,etc not only on residential but also commercial jobs. They do a lot of large jobs, so I new he could do my little job in an exceptional way. And they did an excellent and amazing job . This little
project of mine went very smooth from beginning to end. I highly recommend this company to anyone. There are just
no negatives to mention about Dan Swords and his team. I am very pleased and happy !

Overall, it was a fantastic job. Workers were on time, did the work in a professional manner, wonderful honest christian workers to deal with. The price was very fair and reasonable. The roof had just been replaced (by the best roofing company ever, APlus Roofing) and Swords Construction Company took GREAT pains to avoid any damage to the new roof.

Since there was rotten wood on the sub deck of the roof, some squirrels found their way into the attic. The owner Daniel Swords of Swords Construction went into the attic and checked for any damage done by the squirrels. There was one board severely eaten and he replaced it on the spot. He did this on his own, at no charge, so I could have peace of mind. Daniel is the BEST EVER. They cleaned up everything after they did the siding job and were meticulous about doing a perfect job.
