Description of Work: Swords Construction is an amazing company. I contracted them to renovate my bathroom. It was a difficult job since the old fixtures were from the early 70's and nothing was standard size. I had a hard time finding new fixtures of good quality that would fit in the allotted space and hook up to the existing plumbing. The owner of Swords Construction, Dan Swords, took measurements for each item I wanted replaced and went with me to the store to advise me in choosing the tub and shower that would best install in my bathroom, after he had worked all day on other jobs. He made multiple trips to help me find the necessary items and even picked up the new tub and shower, as well as a toilet and accessories, to save me delivery charges from the store. He did not charge me any extra for his time, professional advice or pickup and delivery service. You just don't find that kind of generosity in business today. There were several complications once the work started, such as the floor not being level under the tub and the walls not being even, but Dan knew exactly how to make everything work and fixed each problem without raising the cost of the job. He was meticulous with every detail, taking an old worn-out bathroom and transforming it into a modern, picture perfect room. I would never have been able to choose the proper fixtures without Dan's expertise. He even disposed of the old fixtures and cleaned up the debris as he worked. I was amazed by his thoughtfulness and by the integrity he so obviously possesses. He is thoughtful and courteous to his crew as well as to his customers. I love the Christian attitude and great work ethics and generosity this company possesses. They do quality work. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: Dan Swords was hired to remodel a recent purchase of a rental home in Charlottesville Virginia. From beginning to end, Dan and his employees made this a pleasant experience. The price was fair and the work was outstanding. The house needed some serious structural improvements/repairs. Floor joists had to be repaired (old termite damage), ceilings lifted and reinforced to make the second floor level and hard wood floors replaced/refurbished. Below, I have cut and pasted the invoice to give a better idea of the work performed and the pricing. Description of Work: We had Swords Construction finish our master bathroom remolding project. First, Daniel removed the original flooring. Then Daniel made use of the ceramic tile we had already purchased and with minimul expense made our large master bathroom luxurious. Daniel also created a decortive boarder that beautifully accented the entire bathroom.

Description of Work: I had a 7' x 14' deck roof cover put over my deck to also extend a few feet from the bottom of the steps to cover some sidewalk and grill area. 6 posts had to be cemented into ground and attached to deck. The roof top with roofing shingles.

Description of Work: Removed rotted siding on 3 dormers and siding on the side of the house. Furnished and installed Hardy Plank siding. Painted the siding before installation and touched it up after installation. Replaced and installed facia board on front of house. Also painted the new board. l

Description of Work: I called Swords Construction to get professional advice regarding water seeping through the garage walls of my newly built house.

Description of Work: Swords construction completed two projects for me, one was replacement of my decking and the second was the installation of flooring in a family room. The quality of the decking work was excellent. They kept the yard picked up and left the job site neat and clean each day. The work was completed on time. Swords construction also removed old carpeting and installed wood laminate flooring. The installation was completed on time and within budget. I did have to call them back on a problem with the installation and they responded very quickly. I would recommend Swords construction.
