"After client reset appointment 2 times we arrived at his home on his schedule to find he wasn't home. Can't respond to his complaint because we have no access. Considering the way we've been abused verbally we decline to respond further. We are not dogs."
Great experience and results! After experiencing frustrations with the quality of our well water quality throughout the 2+ years we have lived in this house, I called Jim Melfa on the strong recommendation of a neighbor who had lived in the area for many years. That neighbor offered that he had been relying on Jim for several years, as had a number of other households in our vicinity, and was very pleased with his service and results.
I called Jim and he quickly scheduled to come out to provide us an assessment and estimate. What I was first impressed with was that, rather than jumping to the "obvious" conclusions that had been offered by other plumbing outfits, Jim listened carefully to my description of my experience and concerns with our water and all I'd done to try to resolve them, and to my description of the opinions offered by others. After listening and then conducting his own testing and assessment, Jim offered a somewhat different diagnosis of our problems - one which made perfect sense to me once he explained it. He then provided me a couple of options to consider at different price points to either mitigate the problem using mostly my existing treatment equipment, or more fully address the problem long term with replacement equipment.
I accepted Jim's proposal for the more complete solution and within a week he returned with his son to do the installation - which was done quickly and very professionally.
Results have been outstanding. Crystal clear water since. Very, very pleased. Highly recommend!
I have refused to pay the $75 fee, and now I can't get anyone to come and service this unit. I spent several thousands of dollars on this unit and no other company will touch it. So now I have a unit that is not functioning the way it is supposed to function, and am considering having it pulled out and replaced. I've had several other "experts" in the field tell me that this company "over-sold" me and sold me a lot of stuff I didn't need in the first place, so I'm not very happy at this point in time.
My advice to you is to save yourself this kind of grief and avoid purchasing anything from this company!
"We arrived at the (Member name removed)15 minutes early. 20 something Son would not let us in without Mom, she would be home at 3. At 3:15 the tech called the office Mrs Bradshaw still not home. I called (Member name removed) and was informed she would not be home until 6 we should come back then. When I explained that we could not come back I was told she would call me to re-set. After a week I had not heard from her I called and was told that she had decided to put off the service. Now we had just spent 3 hours in driving to and from the office 70 miles each way and 40 minutes waiting when someone was home. So she got a bill which represented the cost I had incurred. Now I had never done this before or since. The reason I did this time was because (Member name removed) had done this same thing several times in the past . I was determined not to eat anymore losses because (Member name removed) could not call and cancel. On top of all of this we had problems from day one when they cancelled the charge, didn't tell us. We only found out 30 days later when the funds were discovered missing from our account. The reason the (Member name removed) gave us was they meant to use another credit card. Again we incurred $300 loss when we paid the credit card fee on the new card."
