Susan, the co-owner of the company, did a great job.  She listened to our ideas and quickly provided us with a detailed drawing outlining our ideas and her thoughts for landscaping.  She took into account that we had a very damp back yard around the deck and recommended water loving plants that have worked well, and she continues to search for other water loving plants that will work well.  She also recommended plants and flowers for other parts of the yard that didn't have excessive water problems.  Her work was very good; she was hands on in everything and came in under budget on several items.  She is very knowledgeable and provides well-researched opinions while at the same time listening to what the customer wants.
She was present and did much of the work during the project which was done in several stages.  We will definitely retain her services and look forward to having her do several other projects that we have in mind.  She pays very close attention to detail and does a great job.

Joseph Hoover, the owner of the company, built our deck and did a wonderful job.  He also did some interior work on our house.  We wanted to build a tree house for our grandson.  Joseph gave us a design and a drawing to specification.  He built the tree house with the same attention to detail and with an added creativity that you seldom see.  In addition to building a tree house that will stand the test of time, he added many creative touches that transforms a little boy's tree house into a tree house that the entire family can enjoy.  He made sure that every detail was covered from the overall outstanding structural details to the creative touches.

Joseph, the owner of the company who had done some interior work for us, did a detailed design and drawing along with a reasonable estimate.  After comparing his design and estimate with three other companies, we went with him.  He did a great job!  He exceeded all building codes (and Spotsylvania County is pretty exacting) and over-built the entire deck.  He installed oversize foundational deck posts and dug larger than required post holes and filled them with more than required concrete.  The deck was a tri-color TREX deck that has a 16 X 16 octagon-shaped deck connected to a 16 X 16 square deck with a wide step up.  He installed multiple (more than necessary) railing posts with solar caps and built landing with two sets of stairs along with a single set of stairs on the opposite side of the deck.  Additionally, he installed lattice that was color matched to the deck flooring and constructed a framed access door to easily access the storage area underneath the deck.  Several people have looked at it, including carpenters, and all have commented on the quality of the build.  I've compared it with several decks and it far exceeds any of them.  Joseph's attention to detail and dedication to perfection are second to none, and he does absolutely outstanding work.  I couldn't have asked for more.
