Cville Remodel

We've used C'ville remodel for 3 different projects on our 1890's home. They are really fun to work with, had excellent ideas to meet our needs, and were never upset when I changed my mind on something!  They were mindful when I wanted to keep the character of our home as the most important part of the project and when I needed to keep the budget as the priority. 

They took care of all permits and were great working with the city inspectors with some tricky issues.

The work is top notch. If they don't do it themselves (only the gas and insulation for my projects) they bring in the best and oversee everything.

I have two small children and always felt comfortable with them in my home.

2 of the projects came in under budget and 1 on budget but we added a significant amount of work.  All of the projects took about 25-50% longer than they initially quoted us, but I expected this as our house is very old and work is always more complicated than you originally think. My advice is just add at least 30% on to whatever time any contractor says and you'll be good.

They were also willing to let us do a lot of the work ourselves and were available to give expertise and lend tools when needed.

All around we love Joel and Willie and our kids ask frequently when they'll be back.

Joel and his team are true professionals.  They provided quality craftsmanship and finished on budget.
Joel sub-contracted the clearing and leveling of the patio area as well as all the concrete work.  The sub-contractors were of the same high quality and provided a great product.  During the deck construction, Joel fixed several issues and damage that the previous deck had caused because of improper construction which allowed water intrusion into the sub-floor of the four season's room.  He also added a safety gate at the top of the landing since we have small kids.  His team is small, only three people including himself, so complete construction took about a month, but we were able to use it safely about two weeks into construction.
We will definitely use C-ville Remodel for future projects!

Joel Watkins and his dad Willie did a wonderful job on my screened porch and deck, beyond my expectations in quality. Although they were delayed by horrible weather and were sometimes out there in the mud and slush, they were always cheerful and friendly. It felt like I had hired the TV guys from and quot;This Old house.and quot; They did the design, the estimate, and all the work themselves. No sub-contracting. This father-son team represents the best in professionalism, honesty, and quality work. I was sorry to see the job finished because they were such a delight to have around. They even found a serious, hidden plumbing leak which they were able to fix for me. These guys are the best, and I recommend them whole-heartedly.

The project far exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't have been happier to work with Joel and Willy. They're professional, courteous, and they deliver what they promise. We approached them with a rough concept of what we wanted our unfinished basement to become, and they helped shape those ideas into a space we're thrilled with! We requested several estimates, and they came in lowest - then they worked with us to save even more throughout construction, pointing out where we could use lower priced (but equal quality) materials. They also suggested design tweaks along the way to maximize our use of the space, all of which we ended up loving. Conversely, they were always open to our suggestions - even when we weren't entirely sure what we wanted! The project took around 6 weeks, and during that time Joel and Willy became like family - they're great people who we recommend to anyone. We're planning to use them again on other projects as well, such as finishing off a bonus room.

• Joel and Willy are gems waiting to be discovered. We hired them for our basement renovation project after months of getting quotes from different contractors. It was a rather tricky project in that there was no plumbing in the basement and we wanted to install a bathroom, wet-bar etc.
• We were quite impressed by how much time Joel spent figuring out how the project should be carried out in the most efficient and economic way, even though there was no guarantee we would actually go with them. It was as if he was coming up with a plan for his own home. The quote also seemed quite reasonable compared to what we got from others.
  
  They finished the project bang on time, and turned a useless space into a piece of beauty! We were particularly impressed by Joel’s dad,
  Willy. He is highly experienced and is the first builder that we could really feel comfortable knows what he is doing. His attention to details is second to none and as he once said, he builds other people’s homes as if he is building his own.
  
  In short, Joel and Willy did a fantastic job, and were honest, punctual and professional. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to know them
  sooner for our earlier projects!

Contractor performed the work on time once he started. The problems cam elater. The drywall started to crack along the seams where it had been mudded. I called the contractor to come back and fix the work. One of his men showed up and performed SOME of the fixes but never completd the work. The work he did and quot;fixand quot; was not done to my satisfaction and is still cracked.

They were great and honest. They installed a new glass door which leads to my patio. Their price was reasonable. My overall experience with them has been excellent.

It went great. Joel was very communicative and he and his dad worked very hard to make everything look good and be solid.

C'Ville Remodels' team was professional, considerate, on time, and done early according to the estimated time of project completion. They are a team who likes each other and has worked together for a long time. I am a stay at home mom and at the time of service had a toddler and was pregnant. I felt very comfortable with their daily presence. Small details like observing quiet during nap-time and picking up at the end of each day were huge and wonderful testimonies to the care that clearly goes into their work. I look forward to hiring C'ville Remodel again and would be honored to give my wholehearted recommendation to this group of men. Well done and thank you!

Very professional and clean, great ideas and very friendly/accomodating. Open to feedback and very collaborative. Price was very competitive and did not change over the course of the project without Jim discussing with us first. Very helpful when trying to identify cost savings solutions with regards to materials. During the course of the project a few issues came up that needed attention, including potential water damage due to poor drainage outside of the house, which Jim was quick to identify and resolve for a very reasonable price. At the end of the project, Jim was committed to completing the punch list no matter how long and detailed. He is truly committed to customer satisfaction. We were very pleased with the results and there were very few issues that popped up during this very large project. We would definately use Cville Remodeling again.

C'ville remodeled our screened in room into a glassed in sunroom. They turned an unusable room into a year round room. The room was hexagonal in shape and presented all sorts of problems to fit the glass windows and drywall so as to look as a finished extrodinary room. They did it and it turned out great. They installed radiant heating and when the heaters proved to be inadequate to comfortably heat the space in cold weather they stuck with us and provided additional capability to make it work. Jim and his team are execellent craftsmen. They showed up everyday until the job was completed. I recommend them highly.

Highly professional crew of three finished on time and budget. Courteous and trustworthy and ndash; very pleasant to deal with.

They are really excellent. They were meticulous with their book-keeping, which is always a problem with contractors. They were very neat and tidy. They were extremely fairly priced. They had very, very careful craftsmanship. They were also very personable. I got three bids, and they were the lowest bid.
