cmc Construction and Remodelling

On 10/14/25 I I hired Chris Collier, CMC Construction to replace fascia and soffits and 1 friez board on my house. he said it would take 7-10 days. Made me pay half to start. 3.5 weeks later only 30% done and during that time claimed he had done 50%. then charged me another 25% but did no more work and disappeared for 12 days saying death in family after 6 days no response. Then claimed veterans day had off and then no show for another week. I had to get another contractor to finish and they certified only 30% done. I asked for 25% back as claimed he only did half but paid 75% but he refused. Took him to the City of Charlottesville small claims court since it is a civil case and he did not show up so I got a default judgment against him for no show. Claimed he would appeal and he never did. I did call two references he gave me and told me no issues so had no reason to believe he was a bad contractor. Stay away from this contractor and he is a liar and thief.
