The original installation was done by the co-owner, John Morton, who was originally trading under the name of JM Stoneworks. After his company went out of business, he and Trey Monday founded Promark Tile and Stone. John Morton is the installation manager. The original job looked gorgeous. In less than a year the counter top began to sag at two seams. Mr. Morton came back and shimmed up one of the areas but said he was unable to do so to the other area due to a corner cabinet, with an attached appliance garage, sitting on it. Since that time, the degree of sagging has become increasingly worse due to the weight of the cabinet. It is so bad that The granite has separated from the wall. Two contractors have told me that the sag was due to the lack of shims in the rear of the granite. I have called the company repeatedly and left messages for Mr. Morton to call, stating the problem. I have even talked directly with Mr. Morton's wife, Debbie, asking her to have him call. She assured me that she would give him the message. No calls have ever been returned. I have secured a contractor to remove the cabinet to allow access to the counter top for repair. I must, however, hire another company to fix this shoddy work that this individual won't stand behind.
