For state inspections, it's best to go early and get it done. I arrived a slight bit before 8 am and my vehicle was taken in immediately for the state inspection. Even though the dealership I purchased the vehicle from offers free state inspections, I feel more comfortable in having Techne Mechanical inspect it. Yes, I might pay $16, but the speed of service and professionalism exhibited is far better than the dealership who tried to pressure me into buying new windshield wiper blades (at the tune of $100) and a set of new brakes (the brakes on the vehicle had only 6,000 miles on them). Techne Mechanical performs only the work necessary.

Initially, I choose them due to a GroupOn special price feature on automobile state inspections. Even though you do not have to have an appointment for an inspection, I issued a courtesy call and made an appointment. If you arrive at 8 am in the morning with your vehicle, Techne Mechanical will attend to it first thing. Each time, the vehicle was inspected and it was personally reported to me by the inspector what he saw, what he recommended for the future. The inspector was not pushy; he informed you of what he saw during the inspection. I appreciated the honesty.
