GREENBRIER NURSERIES

Contacted Greenbrier Nursery by phone on April 25th and asked if they could provide help pick plants for our new home.  They asked we bring pictures of the area and measurements by and they'd "be glad" to help us design the area.  We took pictures and drawings of beds by on April 27th and left with the man who we were told handled them.  We told him we were going out of town so not to rush that it would be two weeks before we were back to purchase the plants.  He told us "that would give him to get together something nice that he was used to having to use backs of envelopes while people waited". 
We returned on May 11, 2013 and told the lady (very unfriendly) that we were there to get plan and purchase plants.  She walked off and about 20 minutes later the man tells my husband they've been really busy and they haven't gotten to ours.  He assured my husband he would be calling him the next week. 
Another week goes by and on May 20th my husband calls and the "young sounding girl" was very apologetic and told him someone would be calling him back that day. 
Two days later on the 22nd we call again and we're told they don't know why we haven't heard from them and they'll tell one of the owners to call us that day.   A man who stated he was one of the owners called back on the 23rd and was very abrupt to the point of rude.  He acted like we were the problem by calling about the plans (it's been almost 30 days to get something we were told they normally did while customer waited) and the man's statement was "it's obvious we cannot meet your needs so hopefully some other nursery can".  Never stated why couldn't get plans together and never even offered to return the photos we took him. 
I realize the $1,000 budget we had is nothing compared to what they make off the Greenbrier and their corporate accounts but keep treating the $1,000 jobs like this and they won't have any left.   
Will also say while we were left waiting on the second trip I went looking for hanging baskets.  WOW!  They were charging $29.99 for petunias, new guinea inpatients, and begonias in much smaller baskets than I had seen at another nursery for $19.99 or at Country Corner for $11.99. 

The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. After showing a picture of our house a staff member was able to draw out a plan for what plants would look best and where to place them. After following their advice we couldn't be more than pleased, everything turned out perfectly. It was so nice to have an experience where knowledgable and friendly staff were eager to help us.
