We needed a complete new roof due to some really bad leaks. We got three estimates, & Doug Hagy Roofing was the lowest by A LOT! He came highly recommended by my father-in-law & had done some excellent repair work around our chimney a few years back. We got two other estimates anyway, and Doug was the most reasonable by a lot. Because of all the rain, Doug & his men took the extra step to put a tarp over the back of the roof where the leaks were until the project could be started. Communication was excellent. He addressed all of our concerns, including venting a bathroom exhaust fan the previous owners/renovaters just laid on the attic floor. Because of our almost 90 degree sloped driveway and power lines, there were logistical problems with unloading the shingles from the flatbed. Superior Distribution (A+ also) delivered the shingles. We had three cars parked at the bottom of our house (Thanksgiving), though you can only see one in the photos. A second flatbed was called in. One of Doug's good natured men did traffic management. Since the neighbors across the street don't like vehicles parked on their grass where it meets the road, the drivers were quickly asked to move. Once the shingles were brought at the top of our driveway, care was taken to tarp everything, including our plantings. A dumpster was also brought to the top of our driveway. The next day it rained heavily. The following day, it rained lightly/drizzle, and Doug & his men came anyway early & it cleared up by afternoon. The work ethic of this crew is outstanding. They clean up along the way, and their final clean up was outstanding also. Not counting the shingle delivery, it took them only three days to put on a huge roof. I wish I had of thought to get "before" pictures, but you can see their excellent workmanship in the "after" pictures. Labor is guaranteed for five yrs., the shingles for 50 yrs. We are extremely pleased with how the whole process/project worked out & highly recommend Doug Hagy Roofing.

During initial contact, getting a return call and scheduling a day to begin work was difficult.  Contractor was very slow to return phone calls.  Once the work began, the contractor was well staffed and worked full days during near freezing temperatures.  The contractor even removed snow from the roof to continue working on one of the scheduled days.  The bulk of the work completed was of very good quality and professionally done.  The only issues we had with the company was the final cleanup and finishing.  The new drip edge wasn't tall enough to cover all of the newly installed layers of the ceiling and roof, leaving exposed holes all of the way around the porch.  Also, getting the company to return a phone call and return to the site for a final cleanup was difficult.  We have given up on getting the drip edge extended, and I will be completing the work myself.  All in all, the quality of the roofing is great so far, just the finishing details had a little to be desired.  I would recommend paying half down, and holding the final payment until all work is completed to your satisfaction.
