I have used Cundiff for 17 years spanning two homes. In that time, they have done some good work and some very bad work. Once I had an upstairs bedroom that was sweltering hot. First technician to visit told me it was because of my daughter's fish tank/humidity. Second technician told me all of my upstairs vents were "leaky" and I needed to have some internal sealing treatment that cost around $1000. After those measures failed to rectify the situation, and hundreds/thousand dollars later, I climbed into my attic and noted that the flexible duct leading to my daughter's bedroom had been crushed closed by a piece of rigid dryer vent pipe that Cundiff had also installed for me over top of the flexible duct. After paying Cundiff to come and replace the crushed piece of flexible duct and placing it OVER the rigid dryer vent pipe, the situation was corrected. I spoke with management. The owner did offer to refund the cost of the internal sealing treatment, but I did not take him up on that, as I felt they did the work so should get paid. That entire episode should have been the final straw for me, but I have used them once more with bad results. I moved to a new home January 2020 and the upstairs AC couldn't keep up with set cooling levels on extremely hot days. The first technician found nothing wrong. The second simply cleaned the coil. The problem worsened. I contacted Cundiff directly and was told to expect a call from Joe Havens Jr., which has not happened. So, several hundreds of dollars later, I have now contacted a different HVAC company, recommended by the prior owner of the home, who tells me I need a new unit. That is what I suspected, but I wish Cundiff could have told me that two service visits and hundreds of dollars ago. Anyway, I no longer recommend Cundiff. They can't figure things out/are incompetent, charge you for "trying again" when it's their fault, and don't keep their promises to contact you when things go wrong. Use someone else, anyone else. Cundiff is not worth your time or money.

We came home to find our air conditioner was off. The thermostat was blank. We called Cundiff Heating and Air who had installed our heat pump in 2006. They sent a service person who found the problem and fixed it within an hour. The service call was reasonable (when we compared with other company prices) and the charge for cleaning the condensation pump was fair!

In my opinion, the service contract is a scam.  I originally purchase a service contract on November 28, 2012.  This was to include two service calls.  One in spring one in the fall.  I called today to schedule my fall appointment (I never had the spring call) and was told that they couldn't get to me until the end of November and that I would have to renew my service contract before they would provide the fall service.  (The service contract had expiration date creep).  Since signing my initial agreement in 2012, I have consistently renewed my contract which should have taken me thru November 28, 2014.  I could not understand why I needed to sign a service contract through November 2015 to get the fall service in 2014.

On the first day of installation after talking with Rodney he told us that there is no way that the job will be finished in 2-3 days, "not unless he had a crew of 10".  On the third day of the job, my neighbor (brother-in law) let in the crew in at 9am (since we were not home that day).  My brother in law returned in about a hour to check on them and found all of the crew sleeping.  Two were in their trucks, one on a hillside in the shade and another in the garage.  He woke them all up at that time.  We notified Tim of this and never heard back from him.  Rodney told my brother in law that they would come on Sat to get majority of work done since they were "behind on the job".  Saturday came and no one showed up, no one called.  In the end it took 5 days to complete the job.
In August we returned to our vacation home and found our gas water heater was not working. Contacted Cundiff to see if they would service it.  Was told if they did not install it (which they did not), they would not service.  Another company came out and after 5 hours it was discovered that Cundiff had capped off the wrong gas vent line when they removed the old gas furnace.  Cundiff capped off the gas water heater vent instead of the gas vent for furnace, which cause the water heater not to work.  Contacted Cundiff right away and spoke with Brandon who apologized and told me Cundiff would reimburse me for the service call to "fix" the water heater which cost approximated $250.  Brandon also said he would follow up with me the next day, which he never did.  I called Cundiff to speak with the owner and after about a week finally spoke with Jerry Cundiff.
Jerry Cundiff was the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever dealt with.  I told him everything that had happen from the estimate with Tim, installation with Rodney and lack of response from Brandon.  Mr. Cundiff basically called me a liar and was not sure if Cundiff was responsible for the hot water heater problems and did not believe that his workers would sleep on the job in a house that the owners were not there.  He yelled at me and told me he had been in the hospital, and one of their offices had flooded that summer and he had "more money then me, so it didn't matter to him if he had to reimburse me $250".
I will never use Cundiff again, and have shared my experience with several neighbors that are looking to replace their HVAC units.
Never did hear back from Tim, except when he sent a bill the week after installation.

It went very smoothly!  The technician entered my home and I described the problem I was having with my heat pump.  He went into the attic space and located a blown transformer.  He had the part in stock and was able to replace it that day.

Installation took place over several weeks. The first phase of the installation was the digging of the trenching for the hundreds of feet of piping that contains the liquid that is heated/cooled by the ground. Cundiff was worried that any boulders might delay the digging, but thankfully none were found and the installation went smoothly. There was then a small delay as the parts were ordered after it was known that the pipe installation went well. The purpose of waiting before ordering parts was in case any design changes would need to be made if any surprises were found during the trenching.

The indoor installation and replacement of our current A/C-heating system also went smoothly. The GeoThermal units install inside and are quiet, so we no longer have outdoor A/C units (we were replacing our outdoor units). Cundiff was able to use our existing duct-work, so no changes were needed there.

There were multiple different workmen, but they were all clean and friendly, and cleaned up each day when the work was done.

In the year since we've had the system installed, we have had to have Cundiff come out a couple of times. One time we had a small water leak at one of the main units, where apparently the fitting wasn't tight enough. Another time our upstairs unit did not seem to be cooling properly. There seemed to be an air bubble or something causing that problem, but whatever it was it is working better now. All of these visits were covered by our warranty, and no additional charges have been made since our initial purchase price.

We've been very pleased with the consistent temperatures the GeoThermal system provides over our previous "standard" A/C & Heating system. In the summer, it is a pretty constant cool, and in the winter the heat is also constant.

While the system is very expensive, Cundiff's price was very competitive as compared to two other quotes we obtained.
