CASE DESIGN REMODELING INC

THEY DID NOT GET A BUILDING PERMIT. THE LEFT WIRE UNCOVERED THAT WERE DANGEROUS. THEY TRIED TO LEAVE WITHOUT PUTTING INSULATION IN ATTIC. HAD TO CALL THEM BACK SEVERAL TIME TO GET THE WORK FINISHED. HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER CONTRACTOR TO COMPLETE WORK. THESE PEOPLE NOT ONLY DO POOR WORK BUT THEY ARE DANGEROUS. ROANOKE CITY STILL HAVE MY CASE OPEN AGAINST THEM. DO NOT USE

Larry (contractor) was untruthful and unprofessional for duration of work. Work took two months longer than at the "latest" it would take. Contract I signed stated payment was basically divided into thirds (paid for the cabinets up front) with the last 1/3 being due at completion of work. When the work was almost complete (though it took another month to finish) Larry demanded payment in full stating there was a clause in the contract allowing collection of payment at the time of "substantial completion". I was never shown nor signed this page of the contract. He then blackmailed me by stating they did $1,000-$3,000 more work than they were charging me and if I did not pay the final 1/3 at that time they would charge me for this extra work. Needless to say I ended up paying him just so I could get the work done and they would leave my house. A month later, after working only about three days the work was done. I am beginig to question the quality of thier Prestige line of cabiniets. A cabinet door recently fell off (which just needed a new screw but still took two weeks to fix) and a cabinet cracked. I am still waiting for the cabinet to be replaced. Then to top everything off, they scarred our newly refinished hardwood floors so bad they had to be refinished agian after the work was complete. Case paid for this but we still had to live with the week long hassle and smell of refinishing the floors, again.
