Awesome! I am so fortunate to have such beautiful work in my home. The cabinets step up in height as the ceiling height steps up with the slanted roof. Jason Sowers did all of the finish work, including trim between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling so that no dust bunnies are collecting up there.
It started with Nick working with us for months to come up with the perfect design - one we kept changing. The man is a saint to answer all of my questions and spend much time on the details with me. Furthermore since I found it hard to go from what I had to what I was going to have, to be sure I had the right amount of rod space for hanging items and enough shelving for storage of shoes, purses, clothing that he provided us with extra shelves so that we had flexibility to do whatever we needed. Every cabinet was pre-drilled for both bars and shelving - you can move both to almost any level you need, so complete flexibility. Once every detail was chosen and defined, the work began. I needed the work done before August 1 which put them on a tight build schedule in the shop but they got it done and scheduled the work for July 28th.
Three men arrived as scheduled and the majority of the work was done in one day - 8 closet cabinets, 16 large deep drawers, and 8 cabinets over the closet cabinets for stuff we don't use often but need to store. The next day Jason returned to do all of the finish work for us - trim and hardware. Jason was extremely professional and meticulous, friendly and really wanted to do a great job for us which he did. I cannot say enough about the quality of the work and the ability to get just what we wanted - truly custom. We spoke with another well known closet company -they too worked hard to design for us but they had limitations. They could not go to the ceiling as Carter could, they did not offer trim work, their cabinets were much narrower and their cost 33% higher! It was an easy choice to make!
I am happy to share pictures, would post but not sure how to do that. The cabinets are deep with one side being deeper than the other to match the space available on either side of the window in the room. They are in a cherry finish - not wood but looks like wood. Wood is available for a little more money but given the beauty of this product and the closet being the setting, this was perfect.
"Thanks for your kind words. I have shared your feedback with my entire staff, including Nick and Jason. Greg Papenfus - General Manager"
