About us

Dr. Stewart has over 18 years experience providing comprehensive therapeutic and preventative medical care for small mammal, birds, ferrets, rabbits, rodents (guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, etc.), hedgehogs, sugar gliders, reptiles, amphibians as well as dogs and cats. Dr. Stewart is Vet-in- Charge for Mill Mountain Zoo and provides care for many of the areas education animal collections.

Therapeutic and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, ultrasound imaging, endoscopy, consultation, grooming including nail trimming, wing trimming, mat removal, medical boarding, vaccination, radiology, diagnostic testing, beak trimming, bathing, hospitalization, intensive care, humane euthanasia, cremation & grief counseling.

Dr. Stewart's passion for his work and love for his patients is amazing. He and Dr. Connelly are excellent doctors. Their combined knowledge is staggering! The staff are all fantastic. Everyone, including the doctors, are friendly and professional. I wouldn't trust my pets' care to anyone else.

Excellent service with the latest diagnostic equipment. Dr. Stewart is a graduate of K-State veterinary school and it just does not get better than that .

My wife and I started looking for a vet to neuter our Guinea pigs, after talking to several veterinarians Dr. Paul Stewart was by far the most knowledgeable! He demonstrated this by providing us with valuable information about our guinea pigs before and after their surgery and continued to provide support through recovery. He even answered the phone while out of town on Thanksgiving and then personally found a trusted veterinarian to help us and called us back and told us were to go. Also heard many people in the waiting room highly recommend Dr. Stewart and his staff for their exotic animal care (without being asked). My wife and I will continue to have Dr. Stewart care for our guinea pigs even though we live an hour away! Thank you Dr. Stewart for your expertise and care for our little pets!

I was EXTREMELY impressed with Dr. Stewart, his caring and competent staff, and the entire experience! They saw my little Harrison the same day I called, and Dr. Stewart even made arrangements to see us very early the morning after surgery when Harrison accidentally bit off part of a plastic syringe and stuffed it in his cheek pouch! My precious Harrison has completely recovered and acts like a new hamster (even though he is two years old). He's even started using his wheel again! I can't say enough about this practice and genuinely appreciate the care and respect they show for even the smallest of pets!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Dr. Stewart and his staff are wonderful! Very good at explaining what we need to do and what is going on with our snakes or lizards. He even met us after hours when we had concerns with one of our bearded dragons. If you have 'unusual' pets, this is the place to bring them!!
