overall, it went fairly well. it was primarily a 2-man operation. they were a bit "unpolished" as far as professionalism goes, but they got the job done in reasonable time and for a reasonable price.

We had been planning on grading our backyard to deal with water and drainage problems (we're very near the Potomac river). We even had a rep come out form one of the larger companies (with $30k worth of ideas!). That wasn't for us. Walter and Bob are very informal (which might not be for everybody). They don't wear matching shirts like some of the other larger companies but their work was quite satisfactory and priced well. After getting a quote from them (and verifying their insurance and references), we had them grade our backyard, extend and bury downspout drains, and plant new grass. It took them a bit longer than planned ( 10 days) but we were in no rush and Walter called me nearly every day to keep me updated on the progress. The new dirt for our yard was delivered to the wrong side of the street destroying a small area of community grass but Walter replanted grass there too. It's 2 weeks later, and we've got grass coming through the straw!
