WASTE MANAGEMENT

Used this company for many years. They have gotten expensive and service has gone downhill. Plenty of missed pickups and no compensation. Will be cancelling and use another service.

Service is OK. My regular pickup man was friendly and good at his job. Occasionally, without notice, they did not come (skipping a large number of homes). When called, the company's excuse was equipment or personnel problems, and their solution was to wait for the next scheduled pickup. Recently, without notice, they increased the quarterly bill to $108.17 -- almost a 100% increase.

They have gotten less and less reliable within the last year or so. They don't show up if there's snow on the ground, even though we're all going to work and other garbage trucks pick up, and the kicker is they still charge for no shows! Last week they didn't show up again, and provided no notice as to when they would come. So I called and they said they had an equipment problem and to just wait another week. They refused to even attempt to make up for missing my whole neighborhood (400+ houses). The rep also said they sent an automated call out, but couldn't send it to cell phones, only land lines. When I told her hardly anyone has a land line anymore she insisted most people still do. I've noticed fewer and fewer Waste Management cans in my neighborhood over the years and I'm finally catching on. They charge a premium price for sub par service. They're fired.

I'm overall pleased with this service. On occasion, the pickup is a day late without notice, but so far, my trash has always been picked up each week. The full trash can is switched out with an empty trash can, and we occasionally get trash cans that smell pretty awful, but I'm ok with this, as I understand it is an efficient way to remove trash that cannot be placed by the curb.

Signed up in July. There have been several wweks they haven't taken my trash. I got 2 cans juat in case i needed more some weeks. My trash is currently piled up in my garage because they haven't come. We call, and no one seems to care. They also sort through our trash with their hands while we're right inside the front room.
