I signed a contract with Stony Point Construction the first week of March 2013. Work was to start immediately on cabinets. Part of the cabinets in my kitchen were to refinished and others were to be built new to accommodate new appliances. Larry wanted me to sign the contract so work could begin on my new cabinets before demolition on April 1. During the week of demolition, the cabinet maker asked us to consider all new cabinets. We said yes. The kitchen renovation was to take 4 weeks. It is June 27, and my kitchen renovation is not complete.
So much has gone wrong that it would take hours to explain. I would like help in negotiating a fair end price because of my lack of satisfaction and dealing with not having a kitchen for 3 months, and because the new cabinets were being sanded and stained in my kitchen and so much more.
The price of renovations is about $19,000 + about $8,500 for appliances.
I feel bad about giving Larry such a poor rating, but no one else should endure what I have gone through. I will have to live with what is an inferior kitchen renovation.

The owner, Mr Yancey, was very professional, punctual, and explained everything every step of the way. All work was done on-time and on budget (per the estimate). The quality of work was excellent, and the little things that inevitably come up when remodeling a 1950's home never seemed to throw him (nor increase the price).

Excellent. I had an earlier design that Mr. Yancy refined/modified to simplify it and bring down the original higher estimate. He used high quality material and was a perfectionist on every detail. He is highly professional and employs excellent crews.

All the work is outstanding and he is utterly committed to the quality of the work he does. He only makes promises he can keep, the work is done as scheduled unless weather causes delays. His commitment to quality is so high that he re-did a couple windows that frankly, I saw no defect with. He is not cheapest contractor you will find, but he prices are reasonable and the work is outstanding. Even a year after the fact, if a question arises, he responds immediately.
