SA Toler worked with the City to get the necessary permits and arrange for the city to replace the old lines at the meter. They they dug a trench under a brick pathway and into the house. They then replaced the bricks the next day. The line repair was actually done a day ahead of time and the finished work was excellent.
During the time up to the repair, I had lots of questions but they were very helpful and informative.

My over 50 year old tile and tar paper sewer line needed replacing. A roto-rooter company had found it broken up with tree roots when I called to diagnose a sewer backup. I interviewed others but went with S.A. Toler 1/ because of their presentation and professionalism and 2/ because they could tunnel under my yard to put in the new line. I was willing to pay more to keep my yard from being dug up. The company performed the job while I was at work. They did expert work. They had to cut out part of my paved driveway to put in the sewer access from outside. Obviously, cut lines were visible in the pavement, but that was all. Even visitors remarked on what a great job they had done to replace the pavement they had had to remove.
It is over 3 years later and I am as pleased with their work as the day they finished. The price is hefty, but if you are a gardener like me, they can preserve your lawn and garden and do it beautifully.

Excellent. On the agree upon date and time, S.A. Toler arrived and began working. They excavated approximately a 4 ft by 5 foot trench near the water meter. As agreed upon, they removed the sod and set it aside. On a tarp, they then piled all of the dirt from the trench to start the boring process. After boring the new water pipe, they then worked with the County Utilities Dept to connect it to the meter. When that was completed and everything passed inspection, they refilled the trench, compacted the soil and reused the removed sod to cover the excavated area. It was a very professional job. The company took a great deal of pride in doing as little damage to the lawn as possible. At best, it was very minimal. They were easy to talk to and answered my many questions.

We loved them. It was a complicated job. We had some people coming out and saying there was no way to do it without all kinds of a pump or totally tearing up our entire yard. We really didn't want to do that. We just wanted to preserve of our garden. Multiple people told it could not be done or can be done for $40000. We are glad that we found them, and they were able to do it for a lesser amount. They took so much time carefully measuring everything, going over all the details with us, and talking about the different options. They were just very free with their time. They listen to all of our ideas, and then considered them. We thought they were really thoughtful and very friendly. They were able to figure out the way to do it, which nobody else could.
