Owners of remote starters beware! I have a Subaru Forester 2010 with a factory remote starter. I recently got an additional key made by Riverside Locksmith. I told the technician I had a remote starter. He programmed the new key and tested both keys but not the remote starter. First let me say that he made sure to get my money before even testing the keys which should have been a red flag. The next day I went to start the car up with the remote starter and it does not start the ignition. Now they are disputing that the 2010 even came with a remote starter which I have the owners manual that proves it did. Second they are saying that they can't do anything about it now and basically have washed their hands of me. I paid $132 for this extra key that will sit until I accidentally lock my keys in the car but this remote starter that I use all the time is now a paper weight and it will cost me more money to get it working again. The reviews for this company were good so I decided to contact them, but let me tell you as soon as something goes wrong they are quick to say it's not their fault. This company has bad customer service and I'm sorry that I used them.

Friendly guy, but totally gave us the run around. Doors are less functional than before he touched them.

I called and left a message on their machine. I tried calling back at a different time the next day, got the machine again, didn't leave a message. Left another message on day 3. Today is day 5, and I'm looking for another locksmith.

The guy was on-time, very nice, and clearly knew what he was doing. He didn't really "look" like a locksmith, but no matter.

After calling and leaving a message on Friday and not hearing back, I called again on Sunday and had someone pick up right away and book an appointment with me later that evening. The locksmith arrived on time and was very fast and friendly.

The technician arrived almost on the dot at the appointed time. A personable fellow, he set about the work immediately. It took some time to remove the old lock, from lack of experience with this particular model. Once the lock was out, he determined that it could not be fixed. Unfortunately, he had only a shiny brass replacement, instead of the antique brass of other fixtures. In the end the new lock works perfectly. Indeed, I will call upon Riverside, should I need additional lock work.

Called several locksmiths and this company gave me a firm price, which was reassuring and a senior discount was included. They came on the agreed upon time and things were completed and I am happy about the whole thing. It was quickly done to my satisfaction.

This service call couldn't have been handled better from the time they answered the phone, they were completely professional, and made every attempt to complete the job in a satisfactory time and manner. Kevin was even able to make the locks that were being rekeyed, match a newer deadbolt on the basement door to save us a little money. He was knowledgeable in answering questions about what I would need to do if I needed to replace the lock entirely on the front in the future, due to it's age, and talked me through a couple of options so that I'm prepared to make an informed decision should the need arise. The original estimate I was given on the phone was between $80 and $100, and that was solely based on the description of the key being broken off in the front door lock. You can imagine my surprise when after deciding to make all locks on the house match, the total cost was only $103! I felt like this was a great value for more work than was initially expected, and it was all taken care of in a very timely manner.

I have used this company twice. I found them on Angie's List and liked all of the positive feedback and will add mine, too. I liked that they were able to work on this old lock and not force me to replace it. They worked with my schedule and arrived on time. They are close to my house.

It went excellent, he was very good. He was on time when he came. There is only a forty dollar trip fee which was good. It was nice that he gave us the keys at the same price.

Good, but it took nearly two weeks from the time I first called to finally get the locks done. They never returned my first call, then we played lots of phone tag and I think they lost my number. Once we got the communication straight, they gave good advice and did what I asked for the quoted price and in a timely manner.

The man that was here was absolutely wonderful. He was on time, very efficient, discovered a couple of my locks were on upside down.

I was particularly pleased with the scheduling of this job. I live two hours from my mother's home, where the job took place. John Dietrich met me there within 15 minutes of the set time which was chosen for my convenience. He accomplished the work in a businesslike manner, and didn't waste any time. The price charged was the price he quoted when I called to make the appointment. I would certainly call him again if I needed a locksmith.

We wanted to install deadbolt locks at my in-laws home. Since we do not live in Richmond, I wanted to be sure we found a dependable and fair locksmith. John was very helpful in discussing the various options over the phone, his prices were very reasonable, and he was willing to charge me the same installation rate if I supplied the lock or if he did. I then purchased the locks I wanted at Home Depot and had Riverside do the installation. They also re-keyed the locks on the front door so that all doors now only use one key. My in-laws were very pleased with the courteous service and quality of the workmanship. I highly recommend Riverside for such work.

My car key wouldn't turn at all; it had been acting stubborn recently and now stopped turning completely. I called AAA. It was Sunday morning. Mr. Dietrich of Riverside Locksmith arrived within 30 minutes. He knew what the problem was before I even told him, just based on the make of my car. He fixed it in 15 minutes. If I took it to a mechanic, they would've replaced the whole ignition switch ($150 - $200), but John fixed it, and it works great. AAA covers the first $50, so I only owed him $35. He was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was stressed that it would take all day and cost me an arm and a leg, so I couldn't be happier he made the repair so fast and inexpensive on a Sunday morning!
