For 3 of my window sashes, I was upsold the hidden screens. One of these windows was impossible for me to close immediately, and another on was difficult to close. A service tech was sent out to examine these hidden screens, (Event Number 230525-002699) and he was able to force the one closed by deforming the vinyl of the window and scratching the latch, and I never heard anything back about it. I had to order a replacement regular screen, at my own expense. I then received an email from you to schedule further service at a time four months after the original complaint, and I replied that I had ordered a replacement for the one screen at my own expense, and that if you were just going to send someone out to examine them and do nothing, not to bother. I then received a phone message from Brendan saying that since I “basically resolved the issue that you already had with the screen” that he was closing out the case. Now another one of the hidden screens is dropping upon opening and does not connect at the bottom of the screen, so I have to replace that as well, at my own expense, because your warrantee is worthless. The sales rep. was very knowledgeable and recommended the perfect windows and patio door for our house. The price was about 1/4 of the cost quoted by a competitor for similar quality windows. Instalation was delayed 1 day due to the fact that our windows did not arrive from the manufacturer in time. The installers were very professional and completed the installation very quickly. We definitely would recommend Pella to anyone looking for replacement windiws.

Badly. The windows themselves are fine but the installation was poor. The installation of the interior trim left pieces misaligned and not sanded. Also, the window stools had (and still have) gouges. The installer had to return to correct the errors and a painter had to return also to correct various painting defects. The installer told us that the old windows would be removed without damaging the wall paint. This was not the case as there were multiple instances where the paint was damaged. This resulted in touch-up painting that does not exactly match the existing wall paint.
