Purchased seven Pella Designer Series replacement sliding glass doors for our sun room and study May 2004. The doors have met our expectations to date. The same cannot be said of the installer, Pella (Windows and Doors) Virginia, Inc. Serious installation shortcuts discovered May 2017 during renovation work put part of our home at structural risk. Once advised in writing, Pella’s local senior management refused to communicate avoiding acknowledgment of and responsibility for the original installation while making any compensation negotiation impossible despite substantial evidence supporting our claim. Token payment in the end did not accurately compensate for the structural damage done to our home or reasonably represent out-of-pocket repair costs necessary to return to our sun room’s floor structure to its original state. Followup with Pella Corporation’s Customer Support to help resolve the matter no better. If considering Pella products, I strongly recommend seeking installation professionals elsewhere whenever possible.
