New Look Construction

Not Good. I needed repair of two chimneys that were leaking through to the inside of my residence as well as some gutter work. I met Mr. Art Johnson owner of New Look Construction to come out and give me an estimate on repairs. I found New Look Construction on my YP app. On November 3 he came out and gave me an estimate for repair of chimneys, repair of gutter, power was house for 800.00. I signed and agreed to his proposal on November 5, 2016. He was to start on November 10 and finish on November 11 He asked for a 300.00 deposit which I gave him later that day. Mr Johnson put me off a few times in starting the job. His excuses were "still working on someone elses project", "I'm out of town", finally he gave me 100.00 off of the power washing and added the deck to be power washed for my inconvenience. Mr. Johnson finally completed everything November 18. I was pleased until one of the chimneys began to leak. I notified Mr Johnson took several pictures and video showing him that it leaks. He even came over to look at the space but that's about it. He did not attempt to repair instead he said he would reimburse me. Mr. Johnson wrote me a 200.00 check that later bounced. Here it is January 24 2017 and I am still dealing with this contractor. I may have to take him to court, its the principle of it all.
